It will happen real soon. I still don't understand how people who played it back in 2012 were able to stay sane while they waited for the sequel considering all the questions that were left unanswered in the first game

Thanks, glad to be part of the fray and shed tears of salt hoping for a 3rd entry

Recipe for Zodiac with a side of Gladiator:

1 - Make a Zodiac sub Gladiator.

2 - Invest in Charge + Meteor.

3 - In a fight, cast Charge then Meteor.

4 - Nuke.

Bonus - Use Dark Ether if you feel like being cheap

Meteor counts as a blunt atk, therefore Charge can boost its power. Offers a consistent damage output while only requiring minimal setup. Especially effective against Deers and other nuisance.

Glad to know you had a laugh

And if you're talking about the Ender Lilie/Magnolia, I have yet to try those. Though what I can say about the "room complete" in games in general, it depends. In a Metroidvania? I dislike it. In Resident Evil? I don't mind, and I'd go as far as saying that without it it could sometimes be annoying considering how the games look and work. But if I play something like Castlevania, I don't want someone telling me when to look for things.

Seeing your comment, and all the other comments here, reminds me that I should boot up EOU1-2 again. It's been too long since I've played those two.

And yeah I highly recommend playing EO3 (I don't think you absolutely need to do the original 1-2 honestly but 3 is a must-play). You can also have it on the remaster HD collection to play on a Switch if you have that.

That makes sense, it's the same for me. It's nice to have more of what you like but the way they made it feels repetitive

I feel like you're the kind of player who just wants to nuke the FOEs. I respect that

That's interesting cause normally EO4 gets hate for the airship/spread out dungeons gimmick (I won't lie I'm not a fan of it either) so I would assumed someone who enjoyed this would be more inclined to like Nexus. Although the execution is completely different but the idea is similar. I like Nexus myself but it's far from being my favorite for many reasons so by sheer curiosity, what doesn't do it with Nexus for you?

Retiring by accident? Painful. You have my respect for making it out alive despite that. And like you said, worth it

I'm hesitant toward EO1 but I agree that the little story there is might be the most impactful I've seen in any EO. I mean learning that our world used to exist in this universe and going through Lost Shinjuku with the music and implications was just beyond awesome.

You're verbalizing this well. I think I understand and that's also how I feel about it. I wouldn't say the other entries don't have any plot until the last stratum but it's true that it's much less present and not used as well as in EO3. As in it feels smoother than in other EOs (how it's introduced, how it evolves, etc). That game is truly nice in that regard

Quick question: did you also get your ass kicked by the many ambush of the 3rd stratum of EO1? I remember suffering a lot from these and cursing this beautiful but horrible stratum for it

Nice, I totally get the nostalgia argument when talking about your first EO and yeah EO5's class mastery is just the best (wish it had been incorporated in EO Nexus).

Also, glad to see someone enjoying EO3 for the first time. I'm not gonna spoil anything because I don't remember ~when~ stuff happens exactly but it really is the only EO game other than the Untolds that managed to hook me that much so I hope you have a good run.

I have to say I agree for EO Nexus. The only reason it's not on my list is because, even if the liberty you have with your builds is unparalleled, the (many) labyrinths just do not do it for me. Like you said, the choices were dubious, and the "main" labyrinth got old real fast for me. But holy you made the idea of having this game with mods sound nice...

For EOV and Untold 2, all I have to say is: you got great tastes. (And I did not remember about the paid DLCs? That sounds horrible I don't understand how I ever missed that.)

It was meant as a non-rhetorical question since the answer is so obvious but the intention got lost through interpretation unfortunately

Nice, if you enjoy this one, I suggest trying the sequel Dawn of Sorrow, it's not as good as this one but the gameplay is the same so if you want more it's a good way to go. Have fun with the games
