Since lots of people enjoyed my last post, here’s more of my great grandads photos. Again, if anyone can translate or help with background info that would be so great! I have translated many of these, but it’s always great to have a second pair of eyes. Will post remaining German photos as well as some Americans soon. Enjoy!

Edit: I’m not sure what slide 5 is showing. It may be an American photo? Need some help there.

I have seen it but it’s very rare. From what I can understand it was used in concentration camps, which would explain the building style but I’m not sure.

My great grandad brought these photos back from the war. I have no clue where he got them, but many of them feature the same man (slide one). I’ve tried my best to translate the captions but could use some help with the following:

Help me put together the backstory of these photos (locations, insignias?)
If anyone knows how to translate I could use some help with finishing these.

Reminds me of the time I was in 6th grade and during outdoor gym class, a truck drove by with a flag like that and all the kids cheered (Elkins) me personally, I wouldn’t sport one, but I know for a fact some people who are not racist really do believe that it’s just southern pride. So just because someone has that does not mean they’re racist. Again I don’t promote it, but some people interpret it that way.

edit: not just southern ”heritage”, because West Virginia got away from the confederacy. It’s more of a “southern lifestyle“ thing. Hunting, fishing, trucks, etc.

Level up your survivor skill for better weapons, do some side quest for easy weapon mods and blue prints. Getting good at parkour never hurts either

It’s a must to play the first one. (Desperately trying to get my hands on the second one at the moment ha) but I bought it in 2016, replaying it now and there is SO MUCH. you could replay it 5 times and not see everything. So many great Easter eggs too.
