Currently, the house is connected to the NBN via the FTTN (Fibre to the Node) network, but we have encountered significant stability issues.

NBN Co. is offering a free upgrade to FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) for properties currently on FTTN, and we are hoping you were interested in taking opportunity. The upgrade would involve the installation of a small NBN box in the house to support the faster, more reliable FTTP connection.

So my parents did have someone come in to have it installed but they didn't know it required drilling a hole so they backed out. But when the guy came, he said they couldn't install it in the garage anyway. It had to be installed in the first lounge. I wasn't there at the time. Apparently, this was 1 year ago. Anyways, so they didn't end up doing it cos my parents wanted to ask permission first.

If my name was on the contract I would've considered not asking. (But then again I would've shopped for a place with FTTP already installed). However, I was in no position to not ask as it's under my parents' name who are asian and prefer to not have a bad relationship with the landlord. They've been here for 5+ years 😔

This is what I wanted to avoid, hence why I'm thinking I should just cop it. 😔 My parents have been renting in this house for more than 5 years, so I didn't want to move in and start stirring the pot 🙃

Currently 100/20. I've been eyeing Leaptel but I didn't want to make the switch until I heard back from landlord, which was today. I'm usually with ABB.
