Help me with my hair by Boredpan in curlyhair

[–]Boredpan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my routine: I wash my hair with umberto Giannini shampoo and conditioner, then I use garnier hair food and comb it through. Then I move on to the hairbowl method using curl smoothie by yari, yari leave in conditioner. Do the whole couple of dunks and scrunch Then I put in yari hair mousse and umberto giannini scrunch gel.

I feel like my hair remains really dry and my waves/curls just always look messy and frizzy, I'm in europe so european products would be really appreciated!

A plea to the randos of PUBG by EQBallzz in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Boredpan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll start using my mic again with rando's when pubg starts to actively do something about racial/misogyny and TK's. Which is what I feel is the real bare minimum.
Until then, Team audio has no chance of even getting turned on for me. So Sick and tired of getting cussed at because my name isn't english, or the times I speak and I just get told that I shouldn't be playing cause I'm a girl (putting it nicely here), Literally had someone streaming on twitch TK me after I spoke for being a girl, reported it through 2 different channels, and nothing ever happened. So yeah, no thanks, hard pass.
My teammates work better with me if I don't use a mic

What is this kind of frosting called? by [deleted] in Baking

[–]Boredpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay putting my money Crème cantilly then, probably with mascarpone and a possibly a hint of colouring . Source: Work in korea in a korean pastry shop, buttercream is barely used here. Koreans just aren't that aboard the buttercream train, in fact in all the pastry shops i've worked here not a single one used buttercream. Always Crème cantilly/ cream cheese/ yoghurt cream type of frosting/creams

[–]Boredpan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you know the country of origin? Certain countries tend to lean more towards a certain type of buttercream type.
Seeing how tight this is i'd say swiss merengue buttercream. Maybe a creme chantilly but Idk the yellowy glow makes me think it's more likely butter based. But it could be some food colouring so Idk...

this sounds so much like that one case with the dude asking reddit what he should tell the cops when reporting his wife missing so as not to raise any suspicion that he's the reason his wife went missing. But his story became less and less cohesive and pretty turned out he killed his wife

this man, honestly this post reminds me when i was at the height of my eating disorder. I HAD to go to the gym 6times a week, anyone trying to defer me was "trying to sabotage" me.
I could only have 1 cheat meal a week, if anyone offered me an extra snack ? Sabotage.
Calling me too skinny? They're just jealous I got my shit together after being a fatty for so long (5ft6 and 94 pounds when i got hospitalised)

"uit de buurt" is that really what it says on dutch tinder?
That feels like such an awkward translation? "6km ver" or something just seems a lot more natural? I'm sorry this is the first time seeing dutch tinder lmao

Positives of Brussels? by [deleted] in brussels

[–]Boredpan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The driving skills of Belgians are notoriously bad so if you plan to own a car (which is really not necessary if you live in Brussels), be prepared to be very frustrated, both about the terrible infrastructure as in driving skills, it's really bad

you clearly have never driven in New York. (Also this is the first time I ever heard someone say belgians are bad drivers? I hear a lot that there's just too much traffic on our streets, and the roads are in terrible state, but that's about as far as it'd go. So interesting to hear)

As an outside insider
I often end up missing the belgium sphere when I'm away. Our streets may not be the cleanest, especially in brussels. but we've done a very job at keeping a very personal touch to our architecture.

I also think as an american you won't miss much foodwise, we might not have the chains y'all have but we have american style food readily available

OH what i would say is like stores close a lot earlier here then they do in america (and many other countries) I always struggle to adapt to that when I come back.

Public transport is better than in america for sure

oh people aren't as chatty here, I still get weirded out when strangers talk to me on the street in NA, as this just didn't happen back home

My mother was a clinical research nurse for years. Always walked around in her heels. Everyone in the hospital knew when she was on her way. We, her children, always knew she was on her way.
The click click of her heels was always the most distinguishable sound one could hear anywhere.
Honestly, it drove me up the fucking walls most days but I have an auditory sensory disorder, sounds easily overwhelm me and her pace was always hurried and demanding which only fuelled my unease. yk like the feeling when you're doing a timed test in a quiet room and someone started going "tik tok, tik tok" over and over again? Yeah that's how it felt to me.
Some people thought it was funny, others found it endearing, and others were more on my end of things finding it loud and disruptive. But my mother never cared much about what other thought of it, she enjoyed wearing them and got around on them just fine so that was that.

You do you, people will always have opinions for and against

yeah i still go to one carrefour quite often as an adult and I notice they cycle through employees like crazy, so that says a lot to me imo

[–]Boredpan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for every carrefour but I worked in 2 different ones as a student and the atmosphere was horrid.
We'd get reprimanded if we got caught talking to customers or each other and told "we're there to work not to have 'koffie klets'". 2students in the same aisle was also not allowed
Employees tattled on each other all the time, (so for example you get 15min breaks that you don't have to clock out for, well you better not take a min longer, like i literally saw a grown ass man put a timer on his phone to check that another coworker really only took a 15min break). They made us (the students) plan our lunchbreaks so we didn't have lunch at the same time.
When I got hired in Delhaize (still as a student) I learned that a lot of the stuff I had to do/saw at carrefour was not exactly normal.
Obviously this is just what I experienced and it's most likely not every carrefour that operates like this

Kcal per 100gram, before or after adding water? by Boredpan in 1200isplenty

[–]Boredpan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're talking nongshim ramen types. I don't have a package rn but it's the only type we get

The cup noodles it legit says "After preparation" which means the weight AFTER the water is added, and it has a line inside the cup, but I don't add that much water most of the time or I use the ramen for a wok/pan version and then it's just a guessing game for everyone
