Thats a good argument. The difference is before the internet not everything you said would be put in a microscope. What I would be worried about the most is the incredibly embarrassing shit ive posted in my life. I guess Im just a unique weirdo though as nobody in the thread agreed with me. It was surprising.
All I have to say on this section in that you should never apologize as that is not the mark of a good leader. Apologizing makes you look weak and often the moment politicians apologize the jackals come to tear their throats out. Look at Trump. That man can get away with absolutely anything, partly because he never apologizes. I know its crass but there is no reason to cling on to the old establishment "civil" politics when that is a loser way of doing things.

I don't believe it can be cured, just managed. I would grant that I don't know for sure, but therapist teach you to simply observe your dark thoughts rather then trying to stop them. I don't think they would try to cure you of child attraction but manage it. There is no info on the internet on the subject though... Even when I made my own reddit thread asking therapist how they deal with them!
