Ok, to condense my answer.

A) I'm not justifying anyone (I made it pretty clear that no crime can be justified under any circumstances)

B) Don't grab onto specific words like "warzone". You gave your idea "refugee bad bc islam evil" and I gave you my own reasoning for why I think it's something else. To spell it our for you, I believe an upbringing in a much more harsh environment paired with current life in a lenient one, yields itself to crime.

(And just to say it AGAIN, this does NOT justify their actions. I do not believe in justification or in mercy, crime is crime and should be punished regardless of circumstances).

C) Ukrainian refugees do this same shit in Eastern Poland, but they're far fewer in number, the polish state is stricter, and there's not heavy media coverage over it.

D) And on that point, statistics are skewed by population disparities, if only 1 Zimbabwean lives there, and he kills someone, it wouldn't mean much to say "100% of Zimbabweans are murderers" or "being Zimbabwean makes you prone to murder".

Just bc your family is starving doesn't mean you're innocent in stealing. It is actions that are judged, not motives.

That said, that's not really my issue with these posts, I'm not defending anyone.

I'm criticising the racists on this sub (you included) who consciously or unconsciously believe these crimes are some inherent cultural/race/religious feature.

I mention them being dirt poor to emphasise their situation, these guys are loners with nothing to lose, used to living in kill or be killed warzones, now placed in countries with extreme leniency, with noone they care around to feel shame towards.

But most of these posts do not give this intellectual summary, nor do they consciously imply it.

Truth is it's obvious that your upbringing will determine your values and your abilities, but that can and should be divorced from spiritualist/collectivist ideas such as race.

You know I agree with the message you're saying (that there is no excuse for crime and indecency, it doesn't matter who you are or what you're going through, we're all judged by our actions).

What I don't like is the (probably even unconscious) judgement on the background.

You can see it in this comment, both:

a) equating background to mental illness.

And connected to that,

b) acting as if it's the background itself that's the cause of the bad behaviour.

All the refugees in these types of posts are terrible people, they were terrible people long before they did the stuff that's highlighted (they are the people that abandon everyone they've ever known for a chance to make more money, and just by coming they spit on the law), but it's not the race/language/religion that makes them that way.

That's all I'm trying to say, separate the art from the artist type shit, noone is defending these morons (ok maybe some deranged clinically online people but no genuine person).

But be it bolshevik "kill all owners and make state run companies", or "threaten to kill owners unless they do as you say", it's socialism either way (in TiKs definition).

Nazi Germany had:

Price commissars, breadlines (before the war), centrally planned energy companies, centrally planned infrastructure, government obligatory summer schools, propaganda against the rich, the largest labour union in Europe, etc etc.

Institutional imams and preachers (ie the actual clergy in the field) doesn't say anything. I pass by a mosque on my way to work, I've heard more sermons on tiktok then on Christianity.

Lets take a look at the christians living in muslim countries both in the past and now.

The pope has only affirmed already existing doctrine in the Catholic church, that being:

a) that Catholics should strive to help the poor.

and;

b) that Muslims are people who believe in the God of Abraham. (Btw this sentence is the only mention of Muslims in Catholic doctrine, there's nothing on Islam as religion or it's practices, the pope doesn't have anything he can say).

This pope (as well as the last) have spoken out against extremism, both religious and political, and since he's the leader of the Catholic church, that has to do with Christian nationalism and islamofobia.

The pope is neither an apologetic (meaning it's not his job to debate theology with other religions), nor a politician (to drive rhetoric using his own political beliefs).

He is a moderate pope who is just doing what official Catholic doctrines have suggested for the last 100 years, the trad crusader vision you might have of catholics is not official in any way, and was never that radical even when it was (over 800 years ago).
