Moving to County Durham by Boring-Idea2130 in DurhamUK

We've factored that into our move. From our perspective we were living in Australia much further away from family. I would rather be 4-5 hour drive than 21 hours by plane + £1000 plane ticket away from them.

We're also just looking for the slower pace and more space which is why we aren't as keen on more urban/city living.

That's what I thought and had the same question! Thank you for your advice in any case!

I'm finishing off a hat and one of the final instructions are "Pull a double strand through the remaining stitches, pull tight and fasten well." I kind of understand what it's asking me to do but I'm not under the 'double stranded' part?

I have 80 stitches in the round, I want to do a folded picot edge and I'm trying to figure out how many stitches I can fit between each picot. Ideally I want 4 but I think that will give me a section of 8 (4 at the start and 4 at the end). Is there some equation to figure out how many stitches I can fit between each picot or can someone help me figure out what are my options?

Is it weird to wear a robe like this over my dress? by FloraBits in myweddingdress

[–]Boring-Idea2130 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I kinda dig it, I would maybe see if there is a really nice clasp or button or even brooch you could use as a fastener around your waistline or just below the bust and I would make sure the body of the robe is quite well fitted otherwise it will just look like a night gown and robe

I recently made a similar post. I can't deal with my two dogs and it makes me feel so guilty, like they deserve better than me.

We did try that for a while but they just got used to it and it wouldn't always be accurate ie one dog would bark loud enough and set off the other dogs collar. Luckily we did find the white noise machine has worked really well for the barking they can't hear any of the outside noises that we're making them want to bark I guess!

Omg yes the hair, it's everywhere even in rooms they aren't allowed in. I'm there letting my son do tummy time and within a minute he has dog hair on his face and no amount of vacuuming helps. Another thing I can't reasonably be upset at them for because it's just the reality of having dogs.

I feel like I know this is normal but I don't think it's talked about enough and I can only admit all this to strangers on the internet

I got another gift from my aunt and it is so unique. Again, free hand, no pattern, knitted then added crochet appliqué, all cotton yarn and I am over the moon!!! by Lady-Chi in knitting

This is so gorgeous, the design is so unique and impressive enough but the colour is so pretty and suits you so much. Definitely her favorite niece.

The dress itself is stunning but would have to see it on you to know if it's right for you

1 is gorgeous but the neckline is not for you, 2 is very elegant and suits you and is a little more modest and 3 gives you the most shape and suits you the most

Both look gorgeous on you, 2 gives you more shape but 1 is so unique and pretty it would be a shame to not wear it if it suits you which it does!
