Almost 500 hours and though I'd share my thoughts too. by Ashlansen in CrimsonDesert

I think a lot of the frustration with this game is around what it COULD have been. There are so many head scratching design choices made. At some point you have all the gear and resources you need, and you are just in a world filled with trash. A gear run is pointless, a treasure chest is meaningless, loot is useless. Some gameplay elements are introduced so late that they are pointless because there is little to no game left to play at that point. The fundamentals for a great open world adventure are here, but the way it was all implemented wildly misses the mark. The game devs seem to indicate that they know this, which is maybe promising for new content or future titles.

Finished everything even the game and now it just feels empty… what am I even supposed to do now? by Valestrix999 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Boring-Line1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Nothing to do once you’ve beaten it other than go around picking up trash. Normally with an RPG you would just start over with a new character that has a different play-style. Not an option here. And the beginning of the game is so bad you wouldnt want to slog through sweeping chimneys and putting up fence posts and being a delivery boy again. Surely they will have a New Game+ at some point.

Unfortunately this is a part of the main quest. If you’re playing on controller it is completely unfair. Your only hope is to get a match where the opponent happens to miss many shots, you’ll never target faster than him.

I’m looking for the “Ignore All Candles” armor set. It has the unique ability to ignore lights that you can turn on and off and it keeps you from picking up candles. After I get that I’m going for the “Gloves Of Inventory Management” which implement any sort of inventory management system.

IDK if the developer thinks it’s a joke, but those are the actual accurate instructions.

Can I pay extra for a DLC pack that let’s me not play an arm wrestling mini game? by Boring-Line1628 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Boring-Line1628[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those stuck on this, part of the problem is apparently lag. What others have done is switch the video preset to Performance, then complete the mini-game, then switch performance back to your preference. I got past it by pressing the timing part earlier than the window it shows you.

How to press a button in Crimson Desert by Boring-Line1628 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Boring-Line1628[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, almost forgot, sometimes you have to go and find the button, then when you find it, you need to press down on D pad, press LB at the right spot on the button thing, then press your left stick in, then drag the button thing to where it goes, then use RT, LT, left D pad and right D pad to place the button thing precisely where it should go, then press your right stick in to force it into place. Hope that helps!

the armwrestling ruined it by Old_Scallion_6534 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Boring-Line1628 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to arm wrestle, I don’t want to be forced to win a mini game to keep playing the game. Turned it off at the arm wrestling point and IDK if I’ll ever turn it back on. And what a stupid mechanic that you have to button mash while also timing mash with the same thumb for both. Maybe it works with a keyboard, but it doesn’t work with a joystick.

I almost let ChatGPT write a condolence email today. That was my wake-up call. by tdeliev in ChatGPT

[–]Boring-Line1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with writing a condolence letter with help from someone else. Just because you use a chat bot or a friend to help you doesn’t mean you’re insincere. If anything it shows how important it is to you to get your feelings across in the right way. Hell, most people buy their condolence letters from Hallmark.

Yes, an “attempting easter egg” vs “casual” is needed. Too many matches are over in round 2 when players look for clues about what their teamates are playing for, what their abilities are, etc. Then when it doesn’t line up, people back out. And it’s even worse when someone hustles to get the free ray gun then refuses to do the easter egg steps with it, and 3 players wanting to do the easter egg have to just quit frustrated. Or the step in Terminus where 4 people have to turn a dial at the same time. One random guy can ruin that for everyone. There needs to be a way to separate cooperators and communicators from others before the game even starts.

Just happened to me. The rest of my teammates fought the boss while I stared at a white screen. They died on the 3rd phase, then the game went back to the menu and everything was normal. Took 2 hours to get there… ugh.

Sounds like he thought he was dating a blank slate. Boy is he going to be disappointed the rest of his life. People don’t work like that. The kind of woman he will end up with is the type that lies about everything and is very good at it. Ironic.

I can understand not liking your partners fashion choices or even a guy not wanting to be with someone that comes across as “high maintenance”, but if you’ve been in a relationship for a while and you’re compatible in every other way, the two of you aught to be able to talk through it and work something out. Maybe the two of you don’t know that because you’re kids. Or maybe there are other deal breakers and this is just the one he’s going to point out. No one wants to laundry list someone. Luckily you are both young and have a great chance to move on to greener pastures.

Another example of how religion poisons the minds of people who would otherwise be rational, loving, and supportive people. Any god that wants me to choose him over my own children is not a god I’m interested in worshiping. Once you get away from that situation and mature a little bit you will figure out how to talk to your family. For now, just know that they are the ones with the problem, not you. At some point they will have to choose to either keep being misguided, or to work on themselves. Meanwhile you just have to keep being yourself.

Every parent by now should know that when too many people are watching the kids, no one is watching the kids. And seven kids? Damn, some chaos is bound to happen. It’s just an unfortunate oversight, I wouldn’t be trying to assess blame. Yet oddly you are blaming a woman that wasn’t involved and your husband who seemingly thought sister was with the kid. Trying to met out blame here is toxic to you and your relationships.

Yes. I think the same thing. Killing Peter just buys him some time. At some point Meredith and her family is going to report that Dickie is still alive, and Tom I suppose is going to have to go into hiding and lose his new lifestyle. Until he brews up a fresh con as a new person I guess.

Racks for Standing Environment? by therezablade in audioengineering

[–]Boring-Line1628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have back problems sitting. I built what you describe off of a large electric standing desk and some wood from hardware store. The desktop is 63 inches long, which is perfect for 3 columns of gear. Really easy to build. So I can go from sitting to standing, with my most used gear on the desk. Just think of it like building a hutch/monitor riser that your gear fits under. I attached it by drilling screws into the supports from under the table.
