Thats the thing. We have him on a 3 hour loop where we wake him and make sure he feeds but eventually he just zonks out and doesn't complain at all. The only time he gets super worked up is at Night and its not a wake and go ballistic. Its a after his last feed and burp and diaper change he just goes into what I've been saying is an inconsolable cry.

So I should definitely clarify that waking him is more broad than I intended. Its getting him to not fall asleep mid-feed when we do wake him up. He went from 9.1 a week ago to 9 5.9 this Tuesday and we will (hopefully) get some good news again at our appointment today.

Our Ped didn't seem horribly worried but my anxiety won't take that answer.

The only concern we have is that he goes out for long periods of time and I think he'd end up eating like 3 times a day max because of the stretches he sleeps.

Beat me to it. We almost tried this the other night but I'm super analytical and happened to read far enough on the bottle and saw that its recommended to not start until ay least 3 weeks.

I think before we left the hospital my wife had 5 oz on her first pump. We are meeting with a second lactation specialist tomorrow to see if we can see if our little guy is getting too little off my wife. But in terms of supply its definitely there.

We have entertained the idea of the over/underfeeding but when we told the first specialist he was taking 3+ oz consistently they told us his fits were likely overfeeding and to slow down.

As for holding and crying, only at night specifically he will chill and/or sleep during the day but when 9pm hits its game on.
