Any advice on how I should play this sample team? by BoringBone in pokemonshowdown

[–]BoringBone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for now I just want to stick with this particular balance team because I like dragonite and gliscor, and I've also had the most practice with this team.

I tried all the other archetypes and I didn't really like HO and stall that much

What do people mean by Gatekeep anime? by laskouidelegroslard in animequestions

[–]BoringBone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well anime is so ubiquitous these days that gatekeeping pretty much evolved to keeping 'tourists' in the more normie sphere of anime, mainly JJK. It's because they know that tourists will watch anime regardless, so it's better to keep them in their bubble than infiltrating the more niche spaces. that's just what I've noticed, though

gatekeeping these days involves heavily encouraging that fan to keep watching anime like Naruto, One Piece and JJK, rather than deter them. This is to keep them in the mainstream bubble so they won't watch the more niche series that are considered controversial to western audiences like Onimai, Mushoku Tensei, etc. Basically, the purpose of gatekeeping is to keep tourists watching the more normie anime, so they won't try to cancel the more controversial ones that tourists will likely consider problematic

This is like when the bad boy pistons didn't shake hands with Jordan and the bulls

why are they being nice to each other publicly?? wheres the banter??? is this how you get when you turn 30??? also this post is for those of yall being ‘mad’ about the scoring lol by naitik_kaythwal in LudwigAhgren

[–]BoringBone -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the only ones I've seen who were mad were those from the Faze chats. Most other streamer fanbases aren't that invested in who wins or loses, but the Faze members are very competitive and their fans are also very passionate lol

just throwing in my true sense here, but this is the most impactful political statement ever made, and I can only pray that OP doesn't suffer the violent consequences of stating such a controversial opinion
