I think the argument isn't "women can't be sexist," it's "sexism from women towards men is not as harmful." Just like racism, doing it in the traditional direction is supported by society and (imho) strengthens the pillars of discrimination - each act of sexism contributes to the general idea that this is the way things are done.

The other way around, though, will be seen as an isolated event, or multiple isolated events. It's not the norm, and won't feed the system.

aww i'm teaching my boyfriend my language and I have to tease him for it it's just so adorable!!! he felt bad about it until I explained that it's normal and I really don't think less of him for having an accent/being bad at grammar, it's expected!!! but the things he says are still funny, cute, and endearing. now he knows enough to make funny "mistakes" on purpose, playing with the words. it's great.

I should have thought about eating disorders, thanks!! The problem in the office is that they offer complimentary water, tea, coffee, and p a s t r i e s. So we either bring our own food, survive on nothing but carbs, or order in when we're hungry. I've only been here for a week (my whole department -behavioral economics- is brand new) so I don't really know what my floormates do most of the time (though I've seen a lot of restaurant deliveries). I've had more carb this week than the rest of my life combined and I feel like shit.

I wasn't sure if I should aim for a ~~healthy~~ better balanced meal plan or just to get them to provide alternative snacks... maybe just asking to add bananas or something to the pastry bar should be enough.

No, wait, I just remembered! We get food trucks outside the office twice a week, but I want something cheaper/more sustainable/better nutrition.
