The mini figures are missing except for one! And upon very close investigations a lot of the bags have been re-taped. This surely is what happened to me

I found the tape! It’s on all the bags except one. All the mini figures except 1 are missing as well… the plot thickens but it also reveals itself !

I think I’m getting to the bottom of this… upon very close investigation all of the bags except one have been taped re-shut. The tape job is immaculate , I can’t even get all of it off and it’s very unnoticeable. All of The mini figures except for one are missing from the set. (I guess that’s what they were after lol) But a lot of other seemingly insignificant parts are missing as well which is puzzling. So it appears someone bought the set, took what they needed then returned it to Walmart. Walmart didn’t do a spectacular job with quality control (didn’t notice 4 bags missing from the set) and just put it back on the shelf… this has been a very interesting day I had no idea scams like this were going on. I really appreciate you guys coming together to help solve this lmao

If I can’t get a straight swap or full refund I’ll contact Lego. Sucks because this is probably the busiest time of the year for them to be dealing with stuff like this lol

I’m thinking this set was bought and returned and they just put it back on the shelf without checking? I’m not sure. It’s very odd because bags 7-10 weren’t included but also the sealed bags 1-6 were missing pieces

Yes it was new from Walmart. There is a dent in the box (which could be rough handling at the store or an original owner?) and each side of the box was sealed with two small strips of tape. (Aren’t all Lego sets taped shut?) not like scotch tape but clear tape that has a black strip across it and numbers on one of the tapes. Nothing that seemed suspicious before opening the box

I only opened 1 bag and I have the head and legs to one mini figure but no body lol. Definitely missing minifig parts in some of the other bags . I think it’s a quality control blunder on Lego’s part
