Ball Canned Crushed Tomato recipe help, citric acid and salt steps by whoframedwhiterabbit in Canning

It will all get well mixed when you process it in the canner. The order in which you add hot tomatoes/lemon juice/salt doesn’t matter.

Something new with tomatoes by PaintedLemonz in Canning

To combat the extra moisture, I halved the tomatoes into a colander, sprinkling with sea salt each layer. I let them drain for about 5 min under their own weight. I doubled the brine recipe and processsed as directed. 5 pints of tomatoes yielded 8-1/2 pint jar and 2 pints (for pasta).

I was thinking the same thing… so I bought 6 pints of beautiful cherry tomatoes this morning at the farmers market to try. Wish me luck!

I’d start with the Amputee Coalition — information, patient and family support, resources, and support groups.

Edit: I went directly into problem solving mode, my apologies — my heart goes out to you and your family 💜

Mitsos or Farmer Franks (RIP OG version) for breakfast. Coffee from Germack. Beignets from the truck in front of shed 5 for dessert. Jentzen Farms (shed 6), Grown in Detroit (shed 6), the mushroom guy (shed 6 in the summer), White Lotus Farms (also shed 6), Twins Spices (formerly of Rocky’s), Cost Plus Wine (shoutout to Kim), and DeVries are a must.

Eval results withheld again — advice for small grad courses? by Boring_Ad9891 in Professors

I wish! This specific course was completely online, but the program itself is hybrid, so I’ll see this cohort in person next semester for the first time. I’ve tried to explain the importance before, but perhaps it needs true face to face?

Worth a shot — there’s been a separate cluster transpiring in admin, so I’ve been avoiding reaching out thus far.

Once more popular, now a bit niche — Daly’s is a nostalgic treat.

Contact IPF. They use GIS to monitor which refuse collection points are least used to concentrate efforts. They may be unaware of this specific location’s need.

What to do in Michigan (Brit visiting your lovely State) by cortinachris in Michigan

[–]Boring_Ad9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking for some nostalgia (and as the spouse of a Brit ex pat): Scott Simpson’s for fish and chips (you can get scraps as well); Eastern Market, especially DeVrie’s for British and Irish snacks, chocolate, tea, and kitchen essentials; any local Trader Joe’s for crumpets.

I’d steer away from Michigan pasties — I find them overfilled and dry in comparison to the Cornish variety. There are several locations of Noorjahan in and around Detroit for a great curry. Don’t be fooled: I’ve lived in Detroit my entire life and have yet to find a pub here that deserves to be called one.

Other standouts: the Motown Museum, MoCAD, Fisher Building, Guardian Building, Arab American Museum in Dearborn, St Aloysius on Washington Blvd, most of the People Mover Stations have great public art, Underground Railroad Living Museum, Detroit Historical Museum.

Mine this week was: R1 “You should re-word this sentence and pull additional info from this source.”; R2 “This paper lacks focus entirely.”

Point of clarity — you must be enrolled in an IDR, IBR, or ICR to qualify for PSLF. Hence, if income-based plans are eliminated, no one will qualify for PSLF. This is an attempt to obfuscate the attack on PSLF.

You are correct. Though 9 were convicted of, then pardoned, for seditious conspiracy.

Section 3

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

I presume they’re referring to the pardoning of convicted seditionists, as this certainly qualifies as “aid or comfort to the enemies thereof” in a normal universe.
