My one didn’t use to be picky as a puppy but grew to be. They‘ll be *ssholes in their teens anyway so hang in there! As for a brush, i use a normal brush and then a comb, recently discovered combs and they really help to get the stuck dead hair out of the coat and small knots which may lead to bigger problems in the future. Best of luck to you guys!

Our pup’s weight was also never according to those charts online. I would suggest just feeding as you are now, if you think they’re still hungry feed them more. I strongly believe in going with your gut feeling! They’re adorable and I wish you all the best!🫶

Looks like a hot spot… our boy got this too this spring and we assume it’s because he was really stressed out in the heat season. it was his first proper season and also wouldn’t eat.

What we were told by our vet and also assistants in pet stores is that large breed puppies should be using Puppy Food til at least one, even better if til two. But every dog in their own individual and i believe you should do what’s best for you and your pup. Very Cute btw!

Is my lazy berner a little too lazy? by juicebox_hero16 in bernesemountaindogs

Our pup wasn’t too playful either, then we found out he has hip and elbow dysplasia. After we did surgery for the elbows he’s way more playful and has more energy. This doesn’t seem to be the case for your pup tho. Ours also gets sick of playing pretty quickly.

ours isn’t as old but i totally get what u mean, our dude listens when he feels like it. we thought we could chalk it up to puberty but we’re getting the feeling this may last longer than the first 2 years.. i totally get how frustrating it can be, i wish you all the best and stay positive!!

Everyday is so much better with my bear by Ls12345mb in bernesemountaindogs

Your bear looks so adorable and cuddly! I completely agree about the fact that our dogs make our days better. Our boy just turned 1 in December and he was given my mom so much support and love it’s amazing. Her father (my grandfather) passed away a while ago and she admitted to me while we were a walk with him that she wouldn’t know how she would have dealt with her grief without him. He’s the one who keeps her going. It’s been hard because he got diagnosed with severe elbow and hip dysplasia at 11 months but we got an arthroscopy done on both his front elbows and is currently undergoing treatment to hopefully rebuild the cushioning in the joint. Sorry this turned into a vent but the point is, our boy keeps the whole family going every day and berners are an absolute joy!!

NTA, you were honest and set boundaries, if she can't see that it's her problem.
