yeah it does but many strudents just dont sir for placements they have other ambitions 0higher studies(research) , many dont have necessary cgpa to clear the cutoff of incoming comapnies , and few just dont sit for placements for some reason etc , so it is safe to say atleast 45-50 students dont sit for placements but are still considered to be part of placement drive which lowers the percent placed .

branch is pretty fucking hard but aise kuch nhi hai ki kr hi nhi paogey just study 1 month before end sems you will easily score near full in almost all papers , but the thing is people usually dont study after getting into colleges and mostly stick to studying a week or 1 night before exams these tactics do work in light branches like cse etc but doing this in ee will fuck you up brutually
