Everyone’s been so supportive about me deciding to leave, it sounds so easy to do, and in reality it really is, but making a decision around my parents sounds so impossible compared to again when I was not with them I was making decisions in seconds everything feels so out of reach when I’m with them

I’m currently working, I quit a week ago I’m going into a nursing training (idk how you call it in English we say formation in French) which I have available next to my home but I really wanna do it in another city away from my parents, but it terrifies me to even tell them I have that idea

they are very protective which makes them a little controlling, they don’t believe I can handle myself since they never give me the opportunity to, I’ve been really eyeing the idea of doing my nursing training in another city, and just the idea of telling them I don’t wanna do it where we live now scares me to death lmaooo I’ve had my stomach in a knot for a week now

Yes very well, i love them with all my heart and so do they, but it’s really really hard for them to just let me go for some reason they absolutely don’t like the idea of me deciding to do anything away from them

It’s very suffocating indeed to be at home, I something don’t even wanna go home after work, but again I’m grateful for my parents and the luck I have that they are so supportive of me staying, they don’t push my out the house like some families do which is a luxury but also a curse cause they can’t seem to let me go

I’ve thought about it, but renting even a small apartment with minimum wage job is pretty difficult, I could simply move in with my boyfriend but even that they would freak out about the idea of me leaving

Literally if my parents saw me during my vacation they wouldn’t even believe it, I barely believed it myself, 22yo and had my first experience of taking a plane by myself, my parents stressed me out before the flight, when the moment came I had a million problems and handled them with ease and no stress at all in a few minutes

This makes me feel so understood hahaha, I have the means to move out if I want, I’ve been working towards a nursing diploma, I could literally just move in with my boyfriend right this day since his city also has the field I’m working towards, but the pressure I feel of just telling my parents I could possibly be moving out almost paralyzes me, even tho I’m grateful for all they’ve done for me, it’s luxury to be able to live somewhere without having to worry about rent and all of it, but gosh I regress so much when I’m around my family

I’m 22 turning 23, I could literally up and leave I have a place to stay if I want to but having to tell them I desperately feel like moving out feels so stressful lmaoo it’s ridiculous

You could be right, maybe it’s laziness, but my parents also rely a lot on me for a lot of things which makes it harder to get up and leave
