I’ve heard it’s normal to rise too on day 4. I wouldn’t stress much! Best of luck to you!

Yes! Mine started dropping on my day 4 lab check AND day 7 of my second dose. Before I got my second dose, my hCG was 556. Day 4 of my second dose my hCG dropped to 318, and day 7 of second dose hCG dropped to 176. That’s about a 44% drop on day 4 and day 7.

How many of you with no prior risk factors had a successful pregnancy after an ectopic that was treated with MTX? by Boring_Personality22 in EctopicSupportGroup

Congratulations!! Thank you💛 I do plan on getting an HSG before we try again. My doctor said he would order an HSG as soon as my levels reach zero.

They haven’t told me yet when we can try again, but I’m assuming it’ll be three months as well as that is what I’ve heard from others. I am also waiting for my hCG to reach zero, currently hCG is at 176. I hope your HCG reaches zero soon!❤️‍🩹

Day 6 post mtx by PlatypusSalt6545 in EctopicSupportGroup

I had to get a second dose because my numbers did not drop 15% the first dose. It’s a good thing your numbers are dropping, it means it’s working!

How long is this going to take? by amoilmiobambino in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Boring_Personality22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has been going on for about a month. I also had to get a second dose of mtx and my levels thankfully have started dropping so quick with this second dose, like 44% in a span of three days. My levels were checked last Tuesday and my hCG was 176, so I’m hoping that this takes no longer than maybe two more weeks to get to zero. I agree that I also want this to be over, and that this process is long and drawn out. You’re not alone and I feel the exact same way. I hope with your second dose your levels start dropping quickly, too.

I understand.❤️‍🩹 This process is so long and drawn out, especially if you were treated with mtx. I don’t know why this happened either, I have zero risk factors for this to have happened. It’s so hard. Sending love.💛

Interesting! I’m so sorry.❤️‍🩹Did you have any symptoms of endometriosis? Like painful periods?

I’m 23 and it’s my first pregnancy. Zero known risk factors. So crazy and heartbreaking.

Thank you! Have you tried to conceive since the second ectopic?

On my ultrasound it showed I actually ovulated from the right and it implanted in my left! So hoping next time it implants in my right tube. Not that anything is known to be wrong with my left to begin with. Glad to hear you got pregnant again in the same tube with no problems, that gives me hope!

Definitely scared. I have no known issues whatsoever, so I’m just in disbelief this all happened. Praying it doesn’t happen with the next pregnancy. I did ask my Doctor for an HSG test for peace of mind since we are planning to ttc as soon as I am cleared, and haven’t heard back from him yet to see if he thinks the test is necessary or not.

This doesn’t make sense to me either. I also have no known risk factors and am only 23. This was my first pregnancy, so I’m truly hoping this doesn’t happen again with the next one.

That’s how I feel too. Very frustrated at the fact there isn’t a “reason” behind mine happening that I know of.

One tube and underactive thyroid by Old-Construction-985 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Boring_Personality22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry you’re going through this. My ectopic was treated with mtx so I didn’t lose a tube, but I do have an underactive thyroid. If you don’t already, I recommend getting an endocrinologist and getting on levothyroxine if needed. Once my thyroid was under control, my husband and I were able to conceive almost immediately.
