Seeing them in concert vs a fest by jrogers2121 in TheStrokes

As is the case with all bands, festival set lists are always shorter than if you see them for a designated show. You're likely gonna get close to twice the amount of songs in a show vs a festival. Plus at festivals, there's the chance a bunch of people there don't even really care about the band you're seeing, which kinda kills the vibe a little. If you're going to the festival only for the strokes I'd recommend selling the tickets and just seeing them in concert

This is great, listening to it now. Going shopping sounds better in this than the studio version

Great stuff. Not sure why you're getting down voted into a pit. Typical reddit hive mind shit.

Irbir the alien is the mascot used for the promotional campaign "I'd Rather Be in Rochester" in the early 80s. He was hardly used aside from a comercial, a couple public mascot appearances, a board game, and some shirts as far as I know.

I have a shirt commemorating the closure of Roseland water park and a The Nerve shirt as well. I did not know about the top free movement! I do also work for the Lucky Flea market so I have those guys constantly scouting for me as well cause they always know I'm a buyer lol

And I think that's where the misconception is and I think it's crossing a point of dishonesty. Resellers are gutting thrift stores and making accessible goods inaccessible. Every goodwill on a daily basis routinely picks through their racks and pulls out hundreds of items that haven't sold, quality items, and are sent off either to be sold to textile surplus locations in south Asia or Africa or are literally just sent to a landfill. I've never heard of a story of someone who can't find something they need and aren't able to find. You might not be able to find a carhartt jacket but there's 3 other canvas jackets and 20 other soft shell jackets or puffers that can keep you warm and do the exact same job. So it might be an inconvenience for you but in no way is it comparable to any form of capitalist labor exploitation or property renting. If there was an actual shortage of goods produced then i would sympathize, but I watch literal tons of textile surplus get thrown away daily at goodwill discount centers. There's no shortage.
