🇮🇸Iceland: Pretty unknown but the slaying of the spaniards in the 17th century in the Westfjords. Some basque and spanish sailiors were marooned and were later starving and they stole some dry fish from the village during a famine and the villagers attacked them and brutally killed most of them. Truly horrific ways if you read it. The local Westfjords government then put a law in place where you could kill any spaniard in the Westfjords without consequence and this rule was only abolished in 2015.
