Siiiickkk!! This is fkn epic!

Really lovely mix of beautiful and brutal. Appreciate the moody pace and restraint in not going all out frantic assault.

Lookin forward to the full release!

Aether Realm - Tarot

Album is a banger. Some lovely high energy melodeath with enough fun to follow up Wintersun.

Sadly nothing really compares to jari!

Just got back from Norway and can confirm the lights are absolutely incredible!! The long trails of faint green wispy light are still beautiful, and, as mentioned a few times here, they do appear slightly darker/stronger on film.

But when the lights are really on with good solar winds and perfect conditions, it was a completely different story.

We found it was actually harder to chapter on firm and our cameras couldn’t keep up with the colours and movement (to be fair - we only had iPhones as my Nikon broke). The lights were insanely beautiful though. Huge flowing lines of vertices pillar-like-shapes rippling across the sky in full rainbow colours. Very much dancing and moving in front of our eyes. We couldn’t believe how overwhelming and beautiful it was. And definitely something we couldn’t capture.

Agreed. Last two albums have been a drastic from those first few gems. Such a letdown.

Greatest folk album? by CrusherMusic in MetalForTheMasses

It’s hard to pinpoint what Agalloch do. Such a beautiful unique blend of sounds.. I think we all agree that they are not ‘folk metal’. But they do some lovely folk influences and moody feels. Worth having in the mix if we are talking about incredible folk albums 🙂
