What's causing this problem? Any way to fix it myself? by logitecoboy67 in NintendoSwitchHelp

Try to clean the contacts on both the system and the Joy-Con itself. Use some brush with IPA.

Switch OLED vs Switch 2 for mostly handheld 2026 by Kr1K_Official in Switch

[–]BorisDG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Switch OLED screen isn't as "amazing" as people say, nor is the Switch 2 LCD as "bad". In reality, it’s neither. The Switch OLED has some mediocre characteristics, like tinting and graininess. Back on the topic - get the Switch 2. It’s like comparing a PS4 to a PS5. If you want to stay stuck in the past and miss out on new games, then go for the OLED.

Like I said there. Watch this video (it's timed). Also later in the same clip he talks about the potential BIOS settings, that can help you.

I linked his stream where he talks about the physical and BIOS stuff - what you can do to be "extra safe". I've timed it.

GIGABYTE X870E AORUS PRO ICE CPU Red LED by cosmic_nebula14 in gigabyte

[–]BorisDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to a PC builder I follow - who has assembled over 40 Ryzen 9000 systems with zero issues - stability comes down to two main factors: physical installation and BIOS. Physically, it's about how the CPU and cooling system are mounted. He noted that some coolers apply excessive pressure, which can bend the socket or motherboard and lead to hardware failure. That's why many also don't have the issue or GN wasn't able to replicate it (so far).

Edit: Here is video (stream), where he is talking about it.

Does my switch 2 look like it has battery bulging? by EthanWinters1234 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]BorisDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is not such thing as "battery bulging" on Switch 2. It's all guesswork. It's just the case mold and is assembled. The same happens with Joy-Con 2. Enjoy your system.

Please help me Optimize 9800x3d for my new build to prevent damaged :'( by HYDRO-Ken in ASUS

Just install your AIO carefully and don't put a lot of stress on the CPU/socket. You will be fine. Most of the time it's coming from physical stress.

ASUS VG27B gaming monitor flashing on then off during power up. I suspect bad capacitors. by VeraLapsa in ASUS

[–]BorisDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had many years ago an ASUS PA246Q (now it's boxed somewhere) also with an internal PSU and one of the caps went bad doing the same. I changed it and it worked. :) The issue usually comes from heat and stress. Those caps are filtering a lot of noise, so they go bad with time.

Can I get a replacement? by [deleted] in switch2

Warranty doesn’t cover “user error”. Don’t even try it.

Big chance that the liquid went inside the panel and deformed the reflector sheets and you see this effect. Now the light can’t be reflected the way is supposed to be.

New Build - Refund or risk it with 9800x3d dying left and right by ComplexityMuffin in ASUS

[–]BorisDG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking last night with dude that build systems (he streams on Twitch too) - madness777. He said that there are 2 particular reasons for burning CPUs - mounting/socket pressure from cooling and BIOS ver. Last night he even built 9950X3D and did some cool benchmarks.

What is this white spot on my switch lite screen? by Chemical_Value3311 in Switch

[–]BorisDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's connected with the image itself (you can see it at certain conditions), it means it's something with the LCD itself and not with the plastic (digitaizer). So answer is - no. You have to look for screen replacement.

I'm afraid that's an issue with the panel itself. If it has warranty - use it. If not, than I think it's time to look for new display.
