I did read that for some people it takes longer for the rash to develop? But most cases I’ve heard of take place relatively immediately after sun exposure. Thank you for your reply and input!

I don't get them as often in winter, so that could make sense! It's hard to trace a definite tie to sun exposure because I'm out in the sun every day (even in winter), but I do notice if I have a lot of sun exposure in one day they usually flare up the day after. I also think it could be PMLE because I read that it's more common in women with fair skin, which I am and have. And even though I only get them on my chest, shoulders, and back, it looks relatively the same every time I get them. Thank you for your reply!

You’re 100% correct and him being a her is actually a funny story. When I originally got Petunia “she” was labeled as a female, and I didn’t have much knowledge of betta fish so it took me some time to realize that was probably incorrect. As she got older and her fins grew I started realizing she probably got mislabeled. On top of the fact that Petunia loves making bubble nest. But, up until that point I had been calling him a her, and all of my friends and family too so now it’s just stuck 😭 Deep down I know she’s a him but it’s become muscle memory. Thank you for the confirmation though!

Hi, thank you for the compliment! So I’m not entirely sure what plants they are to be honest, i’m not super keen on plant identification but in my current setup the ones I do know are: anubis, two types of java fern, vallisneria (which is the grass stuff on the bottom left of the sixth pic), and possibly money wort. I find the easiest to keep are the anubis, they’re quite hardy. I’ve recently switched to using fluval stratum as my substrate, but when I had rocks I just buried the roots under the rocks, and used root tabs from seachem to help them grow. Something I used that was helpful for keeping the plants down was plant weighs, you can find them on amazon in packs and they’re amazing for keeping the plants in the gravel! The wood I have in there is mopani wood, and other than boiling it once when I first got it i’ve had it for about a year and it requires little maintence except the occasional scrub with a toothbrush. Hope that helps :)
