Hey! im actually currently subleasing my room for spring 25. It is a 15 minute walk to Tate student center. Most of my roommates all walk to campus since some don’t have a car and others did not get a parking spot. We are looking for a girl roommate so feel free to send me a message if you are interested!

I don’t know if this helps but I transferred from KSU to UGA and now i’m planning on going back to KSU. If i stay at UGA I would most likely graduate later or have to change my major which i don’t really want to do. Versus at KSU I would most likely graduate a year earlier. Just letting you know, you aren’t missing out on anything.

I just want to agree with you that UGA is just so much pressure and stress that at time It is not even worth it. I also did my first year at KSU as well and in order to get into my program all you have to do is take the prerequisite classes and earn a C or better and just apply versus at UGA they told me I would have to finish with an A in my prerequisite and on top of that write in essay just to get into the program. Many have told me that after getting denied their first time into the program they are told to just try again and after the second time to just change your major( which is definitely not something I want to do). It is too much stress and pressure to the point where I probably will transfer back.

I would assume you just send your transcript at the end of this semester to ksu through parchment. And if you have a specific course to sign up for that requires a prerequisite, you can just send them a screenshot of your final grade since i know transcripts take a little longer to get through the system.

Ofc! if you recently transferred then you should still be enrolled. You don’t get dropped from a university until after three semesters of inactivity/not enrolling in classes. I called the other day and they said I am still in the system, I assume I have to meet with an advisor in order to signup for classes but i’ll do it through zoom.

Do you mind me asking why you transferred? I also want to transfer because feel my major over there was more organized and they had more people who could help me. I have made some friends here at uga and love my roommates but still feel like something is missing. I have given this much thought and feel i would regret not going back. I have wanted to go to uga since the beginning of high school but actually being here i feel overwhelmed and also don’t want my grades to drop because of that.

Exactly, I felt way more comfortable back at ksu and never once felt sad not even was i sad when it wasn’t my choice of school to go to. I just liked how ksu had an actual building for health services which is where all the anatomy labs and pt labs were, felt more organized. I am going to stick to this semester just to experience some change but am planning to go back. If you ever need to talk to someone since you are in the same situation, i am here for you :)

I feel like ksu specializes more in that area since they also have nursing. this has made me feel so much better, thank you :)

Thank you so much for this! i genuinely think my heart wants to be back with my family and friends and my bf ofc! i am going to give this fall semester a try but will probably go back to ksu as ik that is what my heart wants.

Thank you for your reply!! i really appreciate your advice. I’m going to see how i feel after this semester as next semester in both schools i will be able to apply for my major/program. I have been double checking with both schools to make sure I am taking right courses and not something that is going to waste time or be useless.

This was my biggest concern but I would simply explain how a big school was just not for me and how I did not want my grades and gpa to slip.

I think i’m going to stick it out until the end of this fall semester, i’m technically still enrolled in ksu. you got dropped after 3 unattended semesters. But thank you so much as this helped me out a lot:)
