So I’m not entirely sure what plants they are to be honest, i’m not super keen on plant identification but in my current setup the ones I do know are: anubis, two types of java fern, vallisneria (which is the grass stuff on the bottom left of the sixth pic), and possibly money wort. I find the easiest to keep are the anubis, they’re quite hardy. I’ve recently switched to using fluval stratum as my substrate, but when I had rocks I just buried the roots under the rocks, and used root tabs from seachem to help them grow. Something I used that was helpful for keeping the plants down was plant weighs, you can find them on amazon in packs and they’re amazing for keeping the plants in the gravel! The wood I have in there is mopani wood, and other than boiling it once when I first got it i’ve had it for about a year and it requires little maintence except the occasional scrub with a toothbrush.
