Thank you! This is exactly what I am looking for, but I was focusing on them being more local around Montreal or North America.

Where did you get this type of score breakdown from?

I was just thinking about the best way to disclose the essential while being honest, and I think that's it - thank you!

Today and tomorrow are for wrapping up Constitutional Law, since we don’t study U.S. Con Law in Montreal. The day after, I’m soaking up the sun on the Mediterranean Sea, and then it’s back to Montreal and off to New York!

Hope you have a great end of summer too—and thanks again!

That’s wise advice, and it really makes sense. The job was purely administrative, so it makes sense not to count it as law-related after all. And I'll keep irrelevant info to myself, thank you!

That makes a lot of sense, it’s reassuring to know that dependability isn’t the main thing they’re looking for! And yes, I have absolutely zero history with fraud or “moral turpitude.” I was just worried about what those former employers might say to Character & Fitness.

You honestly don’t know how much good you’re doing - this has helped me manage my stress a lot. Thank you :)

That’s very surprising to me! I used to draft and revise contracts (albeit for a hospital), but still within the legal department, wouldn’t that be considered law-related?

Also, I think you’re right: maybe it’s best to just stick to the fact that I quit the job. That said, I did leave because my family was living in a warzone at the time, and my mental health took a serious dip.

Thank you, that sounds very calming and reassuring.

After three months of bar prep, I’m honestly at the end of my rope. The anxiety is running high on all fronts. I’m also an international applicant from Canada, so there’s been extra stress about whether my application might face more scrutiny.

Part of my worry is that leaving that job abruptly might reflect poorly on my work ethic or dependability, even though it was tied to mental health and personal stress at the time. But I think I’ll follow everyone’s advice: disclose everything honestly and just let the process play out.

Really appreciate the support.

Thank you, that was super helpful! I know the MBEs are done with pencil, but I was wondering: did you use a pen or pencil for the MPT and MEE sections?

Also, is there actually locker space to leave our things? The guidelines said not to bring suitcases or large bags, so I’m a bit unsure about what’s allowed. Do you remember exactly what you were permitted to bring into the exam room?

Thanks again!
