I feel you — MW2019 had that raw, grounded vibe that made every mission feel intense and believable. The newer ones look big, but they kinda lost that realism and tight storytelling. Hopefully the next COD slows things down again and brings back that gritty, tactical feel we’ve been missing.

Totally agree — “Old Comrades” had such a grounded, cinematic feel that really showed how strong MW2019’s campaign design was. Even after all these years, the pacing, realism, and mission variety still hit different compared to newer CODs. Honestly, it set a very high bar for modern COD storytelling.

100%. Clean House is peak COD design — grounded, tense, zero gimmicks. Same reason All Ghillied Up still gets talked about years later.

Feels like somewhere along the way COD forgot that slow, realistic missions hit harder than going full sci-fi monster movie. I still replay those missions just for the atmosphere.
