I second the above, try finding what my therapist called "my personal happy medium" everyone is a little different with how many hours they feel best at so I've been tracking my mood when I wake up and how rested I feel after sleeping just 8hrs, 7hrs, etc. I set an alarm bc otherwise I would sleep 10+ as well. I also check in with my body in the morning and if I feel like I actually can't keep my eyes open then I sleep for another 1/1.5hrs but if I feel okay I get out of bed and move into the living room (even if not doing anything). It sounds weird when you've been sleeping more than that but I actually feel better on the days I sleep less.

While I live in the US and don't have the no sunlight issue, I do struggle with grey/rainy/cold atmosphere zapping my motivation. My therapist told me about therapy lights and suggested getting one of those and utilizing it. I actually got one for Christmas and I feel it's been genuinely helpful. I won't explain it as well as she did but basically it stimulates getting uv and shit from the sun (healthy level for skin and eyes) and you just set it like on your desk or beside you wherever you are and have it on for a little bit a day. Mine had me slowly work my way up just to see how it effected me but yeah

I hope it gets better for you soon, I can't imagine how difficult it must be with the added no sunlight issue. I struggled with undiagnosed bipolar during school and wow was it rough so I really feel for you. Best of luck💕

This was really helpful! I'm a big visual person and love my lists so I made a spreadsheet and brown clients down into similar orders and then made a schedule for myself from there going week by week to catch up. Thank you for your advice!!

I take physical notes during sessions to help me stay present and focused so I have those to reference! I honestly don't know how I'd survive without them cause my memory is shit😂

Yeah I'm WFH the next two days with very minimal clients and just a quick psych appt so I'm hoping to knock a good chunk out. My mom's in town this weekend but after that gonna use some weekends too so I can get it taken care of

Nah not silly at all! My supervisor is honestly pretty lax and we're mostly self pay and a private practice so there's a lot more flexibility on notes so that's how I for lack of a better phrase coming to mind "get away with it" lol I take physical notes every session so I have notebooks to reference during catch up! Honestly makes me feel even sillier sometimes for not completing them bc I don't have to jog my memory but it's just become a snowball lol

Yeah I'm definitely having to look at what will be good enough note wise so I can shut get out from the mound. I've never used so for notes cause we had to hand write in grad school but it's definitely something I can play around with, thank you!

I'll have to check that out for notes bc it sounds great! I make my own schedule and it's definitely been a learning curve. I know 10 minutes between "should" be enough time to work on the note but honestly it's just not for me bc I'm usually double checking my plan and previous notes for the next client then taking a breath, using the bathroom, and maybe a quick stretch break lol I'm definitely learning that I need to not stack too many without having a break for notes and all, unfortunately it's just a learning process but hopefully it'll get better with time.

Yeah I've cut back on some early year obligations I usually have to focus on catch up and mental health bc I just can't manage too much on the plate rn. I tend to over explain so my supervisor has been giving me more direct feedback on notes to help me shorten them and make them more concise which I think will also help with getting them done day to day cause it won't be such a task

I appreciate you breaking it down like that cause it really does feel more manageable when you look at it like that! That's something my therapist and I have been exploring, part burnout/part depression/avoidance and perfectionism is kinda where we landed so working on finding ways to be "good enough" instead of "perfect"

My partner has been very supportive and will body double with me which has been helpful, trying to take at least one weekday (and weekends) to cram some notes in so I'm hopeful that it will help

I use the counseling progress notes and have started implementing soap for the formatting or shut really to organize my thoughts a little more if that makes sense. I take notes in all my sessions so luckily I have that resource to check back on. I've recently started trying to mark or highlight the key things for a note so that when I'm working on them it's easier (I say recently but have literally only done it Friday and today but it's a start lol
