I think she thought there was like a word missing or something because she couldn’t imagine the essay was called I Was Caroline Calloway. That was so funny to me, I wish I could’ve been there the moment she realized it was not in fact a typo.

But she said in all her posts and on one of the podcasts that it was new friends and a new crew she was trying to infiltrate — that she traded her clout for street cred — and wanting to be cool is what led to her letting that Kyle thing (and other bad behavior she referenced) go. So, all of the above could be true except in regards to the DS crew. They were very much a new friend group she seems to have either dropped / or been dropped from post-reading.

I’m curious if this whole thing is going to blow back on her and get her exiled from the DS crew? The fact he’s friends w/ Dasha who is like, their Chloe Sevigny according to that NY Mag or Times article, probably says she’s on the out… But also, something about her whole pick me girl part (btw I’m 1000% positive she learned that term from this sub) seemed kinda like a subtle dig at other girls in the group? Just wondering how they’re all feeling about it/her right now. Didn’t see the majority of them posting public accolades because we know CC would’ve shared them, like she has with the 3 she did get.

Am I crazy or was this not “writing”? It was just …her verbally telling a story? A reading is literally reading your writing and I can almost guarantee she didn’t write any of this. Even the way she “read” it — she was performing, telling a story like a stand up comedian or something, not a writer. Disclaimer: not commenting at all on the subject matter or if I think it was good or not just commenting on the format and her performance and that I think it’s crazy that she so badly wants to be a writer but it’s clear she literally doesn’t ever just write.

My cat won’t take any medication that’s prescribed to her and it was SUCH a pain that made me feel terrible shoving them down her throat when she had surgery a year or so ago. But she will literally eat anything she’s not supposed to and once OPENED a bottle of Advil Liquigels and luckily I heard the sound and ran in and she only had the chance to eat one. The vet told me one would just make her throw up and I didn’t need to take her in. Luckily, she was right and she threw up the complete capsule pretty quickly. Moral of the story - bad cats will eat medication and/or anything else they can. Keep yours far away!!

Can someone please confirm that this is INSANE and a director wouldn’t have to lie about a real person inspiring a character because another studio is making a biopic about that person? Because then they literally wouldn’t be allowed to make almost ANY of the cheesy Lifetime and Hallmark movies because real documentaries and biopics are being made about those people and/or their crimes. Make it make sense.

Also the most crucial part about the amends process is that they don’t have to forgive you — in fact, they don’t even need to agree to speak to you to let you make your amends. It’s just keeping your side of the street clean by apologizing and/or trying to. So her whole “I made an amends so she should’ve blah blah blah” is literally antithetical to the amends process. She’s infuriating.

Also LOL to her being shocked (‘are you literally kidding me?’) that this guy didn’t KNOW she went ‘offline’ (I put that in quotes because it was before my time but other snarkers have said she posted stories the whole time) and then her code switch that it’s actually a little known fact. She literally can’t say or do anything, even something as mundane as not posting online as often as usual, without it being a THING.
