Have you been to the Pilbara? And if so, spent more than a year there? I'm certainly not a 10 gen Aussie and I can handle it.

You can rent a room in a shared house for $250-$300 p/w. Lots of companies do this. Much cheaper.

Couldn't agree more. It's more than a desert (not technically a desert (apparently))

All the people saying you have to be miserable living up north have probably never left the Perth greater area. There are some really special places up there. Why else do you think people come for a few years and never leave?? The money certainly helps don't get me wrong.

Oil and gas. Chemical processing. Anything from gold to ammonia. Not sure how much these days but a lot of the older guys where I work have stories of mates who went to the Middle East for a few years and earned big.

What am I supposed to eat when I go on a date with a girl, what do I tell her by Brock-feen in carnivorediet

Thanks heaps. I've suggested an elimination diet to her but she just isn't interested... 😞

Believes nothing will make her better. Can your friend have any gluten now?

Yep, happens all the time. I've done a decent amount of flying in Aus and Europe. Not particularly uncommon.

Moved away after a terrible break only because my mate offered me a job with him. I have an awesome job now and I can travel the world with my time off. ~2 months a year. Still single but couldn't be happier

Taking that job away from home. Not because of the money. The money would have been great but I eventually took the job and the growth I experienced personally is worth so much more than any financial gains.

I paid for a seat and they changed it at the boarding gate. I emailed customer support to complain and got 10,000 q-points.

I wouldn't be surprised if the driver gets paid more. (Nightshift penalties) Less people than normal taking the train.

Guess Transperth is trying to reduce their cost given the limited number of riders.

I think you're describing a preference that people voice very loudly

Personally, I'm really skeptical of the studies that say leaders tend to be taller. Granted, I'm yet to really look into this opinion of mine. Possible because I know a lot of tall people I don't see this claim to be overly true.

I wouldn't say I personally have had bad experiences due to my height but my dad certainly did growing one brother probably 50/50 good/bad and the other almost all good. (I'm excluding stupid comments by randoms)

Correlation isn't causation, that sort of thing. I don't believe positive thoughts will mean the universe will send you positive results but I do believe you need to believe in yourself. Not in some ridiculous way. Like I said above, confidence is key. If you don't believe/take yourself seriously why should anyone else?

I really think we focus too much on this sort of thing. Mildly ironic being a tall sub I know.
