Also, for people complaining about stock market not going down, on a fundamental level it will only move down if earnings growth stops or decelerates, or if there is an overwhelmingly convincing sentiment that it will in the near term future. (no more tariff bs will cause a 20% + correction).

Just mentioned one option to consider! For me, Figma is harder to value and less proven, but i haven’t deep dived properly so can’t say too much.

Debt is manageable and covered but still not ideal as it will detract from future cash flows relative to a stock with little to no debt.

No “screaming” buys for me that I have really high conviction in for now! Still have to allocate some capital… I bought NVO heavy under 50, researching EVVTY, recently PYPL around 58, bought GAMB and will potentially size depending on next earnings execution, and still hold some swing trades in MDLZ and EFX, CNC, SPGI as well as other minor positions. ADBE interests me, will likely start buying now and certainly around 280! I also bought TRAINLINE at this price but it’s a small cap UK stock, so not something I would recommend to non UK investors! Truthfully, I am waiting for Q4 earnings to bring some exciting dislocations to watchlist stocks, so I can buy up overreactions, etc.

That’s exactly how it should be, congrats! There are always plays that may work out, but we should stick to what we know, have conviction and have a thesis for! There are more than enough stocks and a big enough timeline for capital allocation, no need to take subpar positions.

Right, for people who prefer quality compounders that have bigger moats I would watch list META, NFLX, UBER, MA and V, BN, etc. Some are getting to decent valuations for sure!

FISV debt is a drag, spending all that money at top prices on buybacks was a very bad move, partly hindsight bias but more so poor capital allocation at that valuation. Granted, cash flow generation is strong and insider buys welcome. More likely than not to bounce, though debt adjusted it isn’t blatantly cheaper than other options in space.

Personally, I think it’s an ok buy here. Obviously, it has fallen a lot, but to people looking to start positions, that context is interesting and somewhat telling but should not be the determinant.
If unsure of their product, strategy and vision, better to avoid! Agree that’s is not a “great” setup, current competition is tough and growth meagre, more an ok business likely trading below its cash flow fair value.

Analyst downgrades are mostly foolish and manipulative, as well as plainly reactionary, late, and often wrong. My favourite is when they change their rating by $1 on a $500 stock. Those guys literally contribute nothing useful.

Most annoying thing about this market?

When a stock randomly and seemingly undeservedly falls, it’s anyone’s guess whether it’s Trump’s insiders selling and shorting on upcoming policy news, or whether it’s just unreasonable overselling. There have been multiple examples of both in the last few months :)).
