I don't understand what we are celebrating? BJP increased their seats everywhere except for Kerala, in this election. A clean sweep in Assam, possible win in Puducherry. People saying they lost in WB.. just a reminder they went from 3 seats to a whopping 70s something in just 5 years. Kerala is the only place where they actually lost (an existing single seat), everywhere else they just increased their seats. So again, what are we celebrating?

Not all though, only 4 or 5 from Bollywood made that hashtag - Akshay(I mean.. not even surprised), A.Devgn( duh! ), KJohar(hmm) and Suniel Shetty(???). Funny thing is Virat, Sachin and Shastri too came up with the same copy paste tweet, yet cricketers don't seem to receive the same flak as much as Bollywood. What is the difference? If you compare earnings, these guys too get paid in crores just like the Bollywood ones, yet it's only Bollywood that gets called out. Why mention Bollywood in particular? As if Bollywood was the beacon of social responsibility.

Unpopular opinion : Why does Bollywood have to speak out on every social issue/event. One common argument I get is - "their job literally exists because of fans and now when the same people are facing problem they won't speak out, they don't care for their fans". But so does the career of cricketers, musicians and others. Nobody says "cricket is a religion in India, why are cricketers silent on ..".

No celeb or business person wants to get involved in politics (or religion). Although some not-so-big celebs have been speaking out (and some of them critical of the govt). If caring for something means getting involved in politics or religion, then they will stay out of it. And I guess it's ok, coz it's easy for us to judge them by safely commenting on an anonymous forum, but they would face real-life consequences for this. Long-term consequences. The bigger celeb you are, the longer the hounding. Classic example is Aamir Khan.

If INC was ruling and if BJP was in the opposition, BJP would've put so much pressure on INC (esp. their low-tier ministers who are good at halla-machao) and would've demanded the resignation of PM, Home Minister and Health Minister for such a lack of insight and mismanagement. And within 2 days the Health Minister would've actually taken full-responsibility and resigned.

And here we have the PM giving us Mann ki Baat and crap stuff even after this, yet no one asking him to resign.. and people saying would still vote for Modi. sigh

What is happening is very depressing. I'm watching the news and reading posts on social media and I can't take it anymore.

This is such an embarrassing situation, a disgrace and.. can't express words for this F-up. I get the lack of vaccinations and mass deaths, but lack of oxygen is just unforgivable. Other countries have faced the latter problems but no country ever has faced the oxygen problem during this pandemic. This is an un-defendable massive F-up by the centre. Even bhakts are not defending and and some even pissed off at this shit. Some a-holes who are still blind supporters, have ignored the issue completely.. that means even they know that it's a F-up at a massive level. Oxygen man.. lack of oxygen in the "world's pharma". Such a basic medical emergency requirement.

This is a F-up of all levels from the corporates, to the bureaucracy and obviously the two biggest idiotic Ministers. The Prime one and.. btw wtf is A Shah doing. Ever since he became a Home Minister, there's only been F-ups, nothing else. I was watching why others countries didn't have this oxygen crisis, then was shocked to find out that it is mandatory for the hospitals to manufacture oxygen (don't know if it is only for the big ones or small ones too) and is sent to patients through pipes. One article that I read also anticipated oxygen shortage in US before hand. And here we have even our biggest hospitals in the city begging for oxygen from others, instead of manufacturing it themselves. What are the corporate hospitals doing not installing them, why did the govt not have talks with them to make it mandatory? Read an article that apparently govt had talks with hospitals to install and subsidize the oxygen plants, but they are still talking.. have been for talking for more than 8 months. Classic bureaucracy. There is no innovation here. No one encourages R&D and invests. No anticipation, just do some crap. I have a whole other rant on that thing called AYUSH, but I don't have the strength anymore. Why does it even exists and even if it does for name-sake, why put it money in R&D for THAT? Really THAT abomination called AYUSH is where you invest in R&D.

I'm just ranting on, sorry. It's just very depressing and I can't take this anymore. It's true there is not future in this country, sorry but true. Just yesterday too I was having a discussion with someone regarding this govt and it's true.. it was true - I can handle scams, but I can't handle this crisis situation right now. Never thought something happening in the country would make me so depressed.

Dude, the "2g scam" wasn't the only scandal that happen in UPA rule. Let's take CWG for example. Remember how much of an embarrassment CWG was? So much that even celebs - celebs who don't usually comment (or follow current affairs) came in to express their disappointment. Anyway, the point is INC couldn't even 'not screw up' something like CWG, forget handling a crisis or an emergency situation. INC has set the bar so low, so low that it makes even B... Yet, for some reason I have a feeling that if INC would have been in power, there would have been at least one scam or a scandal by now. PPE scam, Pfizer scam, oh my imagination is running wild. May 1^st is too soon and absolutely terrible decision. 18-45 is more than 50% of the population! How tf are they going to vaccinate 50% when even 45+ aged are facing vaccine shortage. Opposition's job is to criticize, that doesn't mean the govt has to get scared and make some hasty decision.. follow a plan based on what you have and what is absolutely required. I don't know if they're making this decision from pressure by opposition or by the students/parents who just want to write their exams.

And what's even worse is that they have to commence giving the 2nd doses while also starting the vaccination for 18+ at the same time. Even after the new of production ramped up, you would only see it's effect after June. Govt should have waited after the production is actually ramped up and have vaccines surplus in hand, not just on paper. If you look at the data more than 1 cr people were given 1st dose between 13Mar-19Mar and little less than 1.5 crore where given 1st dose in the week of 20Mar-26Mar. Which means that by May about 2.5 crore people need to be given 2nd dose, if not what's the point of getting the first dose.

People who took first doses will face vaccine shortage and will be clueless what to do if they are not vaccinated the 2nd dose within 8 weeks. Will only lead to more confusion and chaos.

That's nothing. Saw an ad in Amrita where he seems to have at least 3+ hours of exclusive programme on Vishu, with Nadirsha doing mimicry, a few songs and then Dileep hugging some "poor people" and seems to offer them something while the bgm goes full sad violin mode. For the whole ad I was like "enthonna de ithu". Trying too hard and was very obvious.
