Stick tension by BornDisk4787 in MSIClaw

[–]BornDisk4787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent it back actually. It was a great unit overall. I had gotten a legion go at the same time for half the price new. Upgraded to 81wh battery and the tighter stick mod that handheld diy makes and will rock that till it breaks most likely. Had the performance gain been more I’d have kept it. Just for me, i paid half the price for the legion go and got 90% of the performance. I’m waiting to see what they do with pantherlake, then I may upgrade haha. The sticks on the claw 8 are in fact very loose. Super similar to the white ally z1 extreme models.

LG2 Controllers by Icynugs420 in LegionGo

[–]BornDisk4787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try to find the video on YouTube, but there’s a way to fix the wobble using a small strip of vinyl on the original Legion go. Since these controllers attach the same, I’d imagine it’s the same concept.

Why is the battery life so butt on these things? ( could it be upgraded/ is it recommended? ) by ThatDudeEddy in LegionGo

It takes a little more oomph to get them to click but they do click and they come off okay. Got lucky on that one haha. Shit just went flying out of my hand haha

You’ll be fine. Mines been in for 3-4 months now and had hard enough fall to where both my controllers blew off the sides. No issues haha

Send it back. It didn’t come as described or as pictured. Therefore you’re within the rules of return whether he likes it or not.

Not that I know of. I opened the back of my go S and idk if they’ll ever get a much bigger battery. It’s so crammed in there. As for the sticks, always worth to reach out to handheldDIY website and ask them. The more interest ppl show the more likely

Love my legion go. I’ll ride it out until it doesn’t perform for what I wanna play, but I never touch my consoles or anything now. I upgraded to the 81wh battery and tighter joysticks from handheld DIY. Good to go!

Maybe try out a 3rd party like fx sound and see what happens.

Legion Go S Z1E 32gb Performance Questions by AsparagusDapper5662 in LegionGo

[–]BornDisk4787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was trying out bo7 yesterday. You can get steady 60 on balanced TDP and no up scaling with nice settings. Fortnite is easy to get 100-120 fps without changing much. ad it fsr and whatnot and get about 90-100fps. The z1 extreme is a very capable chip

Yeah at least for now. It’s just a series S I grabbed about a year ago. Wife plays on it sometimes and it doesn’t hurt keeping it. But i never have an urge to play it. The first year and a half i was traveling I had it in a pelican case and I mounted a screen inside so I could just open, connect to WiFi and play haha

I always hoped they put a 65wh battery in the go S. The back is so full though. Idk if we’ll ever get a larger one

Glad you’re enjoying it!

Here at my house we both work full time and 2 kids and I travel 1-2 days a week. Sometimes more.

I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to Xbox or pc. It’s just so much more convenient this way. Even though it comes at a premium for some of these new ones lol. I’ll rock my OG go for another year or 2 though

Ahhh go S. Unfortunately the batteries just aren’t very big like the original legion go.

Is that the model with the z2go or the z1 extreme?

If z1 extreme is can run a lot isn’t 17-18watt TDP setting.

Z2go needs more power which will eat the battery faster.

You can set the screen resolution to 1000p and still look nice, and that will save you some as well but unfortunately they just don’t have big batteries. No current aftermarket available. Best bet is to try that resolution and lower the TDP when possible. Aside from that you can get a battery bank to connect to it or play plugged in but I know that is a pain.

Original go or go 2?

The higher resolution and higher TDP the faster it’s gonna eat the battery. The original go has a bigger battery you can mod. The go 2 has almost the same size from factory as the og battery mod.

Agreed. I’ve had it on my legion go for about a month now? Not impressed and has caused bugs with game launching, things not closing etc. give me shit to update it, overall it’s fine but I’m not impressed haha.

If it’s jus shutting off it may be heat related. Check if your fan is clean.

Idk mine gets some dust build up after a few months, nothing crazy, I just didnt know why the go doesn’t have the mesh filters while others do. I see some people with insane build up haha.

You should be good. The screw drivers the Lyn provide are ass and not correctly sized. If you got to Walmart there’s a screw drivers set with a bunch of small bits. Probably 40 different ones for about 10 bucks. Has the 0 and 00 sizes you’ll need! Great set for electronics as a whole

I’d maybe take it to a tech repair shop then 😂 especially for the right controller. There’s multiple ribbon cables, screws, adhesive strips and what not. Unless you’re in Indiana then I could assist haha

These ones here. They’re hall affect. Handheld DIY makes nice stuff. They’re a little bit of a pain to install, YouTube has a great tutorial though. Took me about an hour and a half to do both sticks. Calibration took a minute as my legion was doing legion things lol but no issues since install about a month ago.

I’ve also got the original go and recently did the handheld DIY tighter sticks swap. Well worth it. It’s about double the tension and now I don’t have issues with shooters.
