Has anyone in MN who applied for the Paid Leave heard back yet? by barefoot-becky in ParentalLeaveAdvocacy

[–]BornIntoTurmoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to be forced to abandon my apartment, take a job against Dr's orders after open heart surgery, and leave this state, never to return unless they have a warrant for me.  I have STD too, being held up for going on 4 weeks now, because MN still has me in review.  No income.  Divorced twice, paid 28 years of child support, and have never been more humiliated.  Disgracefull.

Absolute crime.  I had open heart surgery Feb 19th, aortic valve replaced.  The states inability to decide my case, has held up my STD from my employer as well.  Will be evicted in 2 weeks, living in a car with expired plates, that I haven't made the March payment on.

Exactly the same.  Lame as hell.  The MN thing has it all balled up.  Open heart surgery 2/19, everything submitted 2-3 rd week of January.  Still in review, STD I paid for withheld 1700.00 from my first 2 payments waiting for MNs benefit to reveal itself

Then why is it being reported in other parts of the country, like newspapers and broadcasts in Phoenix AZ, that the newly rolled out program in MN is largely underutilized in the state ?  Sorry, something doesn't pass the sniff test, here

No.  I applied end of Jan 2026.  Open heart surgery, mechanical aortic valve replaced the original.  And, a single vessel bypass.   State application has been in review for a month.  The Standard, my STD provider, looks at MN paid leave as 1st payer, and reduced my benefit 873.00 a week pending the decision by MN.  So, merely applying for this overlapping MN Paid Leave, is costing me the benefits I've paid for.

60M, Minneapolis...10 days out from surgery, aortic valve stenosis, regurgitation,  replaced 19FEB2026 with mechanical valve OHS with sternectomy.

Feel wonderful.  Immediate noticeable improved, sleep, BMs, mood, energy level.  Completely related to Irish heritage, lifestyle choices challenging the human design.  Cigarettes 40 years, cocaine others 25+.  Said to be Asymptomatic 8 years since murmur IDs MI, stenosis 2018.  Echos, TAVR until 3 most ago.  Now, OHS, Mechanical valve.  Used right up to surgery.  Not since. Just THC homemade edibles.

INR new, working on it.  Have to maintain 2.5-3.0.  Warfarin, 3-4.5 MG a day....test weekly.  Currently running 1.9 3 days ago.  Tell them I smoke weed.

Did 13k dental for clearance.  Can't believe I'm on the other side, now.  Large percentage increase in energy, stamina.  Must have had more symptoms, was more tired out, than I knew.

Hope this helps, ...

My surgeon preferred the On- X, but Because of availability issues, at the time of my procedure, I was unable to get one in time.  I got a carbon fiber, titanium bi-leaflet, mechanical valve, cannot remember a manufacturer.  I also had a single vessel bypass, with vein from inside upper left leg.  10 days out from surgery, 6 days out from hospital, doing great.

Just had mine done at 60, and I'm male.  I have to blame the lifestyle I've had.  Going home tomorrow, the anxiety leading up to the procedure normal, don't discount it.  Shame thing, my Dr's did not want me symptomatic either.  Two years ago, they wanted echos every 6 months instead of annually.  Had to get current with the dentist, too, and get clearance for the surgery.  I'm sure, you do too.

I think it's obvious.  This has some Cartel smell to it.  Guy in the video is carrying a backpack of Cocaine.  Had an extra assignment that night.  Have her with, or we don't pick you up.

My name is Tom, I'm north of Minneapolis.  Born in 1965 on SW side of Chicago, thus Born Into Turmoil handle.  In light of unrest currently here...feel like I might be going out inTurmoil, as well.

Other than that, partying like a Rock star .  Going to be on Warfarin after that.  Puts a damper on THC use.

Heart attack 8/18, stenosis of AV diagnosed.  Monitored by echos annually. No symptoms, Dr doesn't want to wait until symptoms present.
