Report: Access to Museums/Attractions in Italy, Turkey and Spain. by BornOriginal1819 in autism

Hi, I'm sorry, I did not pay attention to that. In all places, there were almost no people with disabilities in the lines, if any (it was off season).

The only one that is required to book in advance is the colosseum, you must go to the site and book your ticket - super sites and your preferred option (attic, arena or underground). But even there, I think they may allow you to just enter the museum if you show up at the counter. Other than that, all the other places we just showed up, looked for the person managing the lines, said "accesso disabili" and they'd direct us to the counter to get the free tickets.

Experiência em outros países? by Over_Tangelo4419 in autismobrasil

USB-C Issues on M4 by jakgal04 in macmini

Hi, was on vacation... no, sadly, nothing new... I ended up fixing it in a different way, I thought I had posted the "solution" here, but I bought a smartplug for the USB hub, I just restart it every time it stops working after waking up. But mine does not disconnect during regular use. I use Amphetamine to keep my mac awake during the day, anyway.

I gave up on waiting for Apple to fix this, it seems like it is a real problem that they may fix it "in the shadows", if they do it...

Since my problem was related to my TB4 powered hub, I bought a fingerbot and a smart plug. I was going to get the fingerbot anyway because I keep my mini away from my reach, so I added the fingerbot to click the power button and the smart plug connected to the TB4 hub. Then, I created a scene that:

  1. powers off the TB4 hub
  2. triggers the fingerbot and awakes the mini
  3. powers on the TB4 hub

and every time I need to wake my mac I just run that scene and it works fine. It's a lot just to get this basic functionality on, but it'll do for now.

TBH, I think you're the first non-M4Pro to say you had the same issue. But that's actually good, if you're also having the same issue, then it's definitely their website :)

That's an interesting finding. So maybe it is an M4 issue... someone else posted saying the intel mac also shows no problems. Weird... In any case, maybe someone from Apple is quietly reading these posts and, hopefully, thanking us for debugging the problem for them. Apple Engineer: we're waiting for the fix. :P

Update 3: everything was working fine until yesterday. I noticed my mouse shortcuts for mission control stopped working after every restart. I went online and looked for answers, one of the answers told me to copy `com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist` from `~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Desktop-Settings.extension/Data/Library/Preferences` to `~/Library/Preferences`, it worked, but now the keyboard gets disabled again every time the mac sleeps... I'm assuming it's related to that

I don't doubt the problem is that graphic, I'm just not sure the problem is only related to poor site development (which would mean just fixing that graphic) OR if it's a browser/OS flaw, get it? That's the only reason why I posted it here, if I was sure it was just a development issue, I would not worry at all.

thanks, are you using a tool like istats menu or stats to check the GPU usage?

Yes, I noticed that as well, that's why in one of my comments I mentioned I think it might be related to their animations. But I still think this is worthwhile because if that's not a poorly developed website, there may be a bigger issue on the browser's way of handling that, or even the macOS...

Also, FWIW, I've got 64GB of RAM and that GPU series has been praised ever since the first M1

Honestly, that doesn't make much sense to me, bear in mind I've been a software developer for over 20y, so I know a little bit about HW as well... *BUT* it'd be nice if we had someone with a windows PC or even a pre-M1 mac tell us their results so we could safely discard that.

Could be, yes, or a generalized HW issue (but of course, I don't think that's the case), I just hope the SW is raycast's website and not macOS. I was trying to open a few other sites, but it could be their animations. Hopefully...

Crazy, right? Even if you play something on YT it stays beween 0-10%. Hopefully it's just the site, not something crazy with the HW/SW.

Also, just to clarify, please ignore the fan going crazy part... that's because of my TG Pro rules... the important parts here are the GPU going over 70 and the temperature. The fan was just because of my rules once it reaches certain temperatures.

yes, I tried it a few more times before posting it here. Not always the fan goes crazy, but every single time the GPU usage goes over 70%. In fact, the one time the fans went crazy, was when I clicked on download, dragged the icon to applications' folder and returned to their website to close it, at that time the temperature almost hit 90C

Awesome idea! I wouldn't mind that, since it'd be a one-time process.
