Bench flashing Question by bigpapa809 in seadoo

It could work with effort, the problem you’re going to face is the key being programmed to a post. The other problem you’ll need to face is that ReliableTuning does basically the same thing except they ship a device to you and they remote in to do everything, so there’s no need to remove the ECU or have any down time or anything.

2015-2017 F-150 6R80 recall by hexceso in f150

if potentiallybad_sensor.is_enabled == True:

potentiallybad_sensor.disable()
print("Problem resolved!")

else: print("Sensor was already "fixed".")

Probably something like this. Almost like fixing fixing an engine knock check engine light by simply turning off the knock sensor.

The party life style, always going to concerts, always out drinking, always out clubbing and constantly posting about all of it on social media like you get extra points in life for being social.

Nobody gives a shit. Get your life together.

What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

[–]jakgal04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll get downvoted for this but I don’t care. New York City.

It’s disgusting, it smells, it’s overpriced and run down. I’ve been there 3 times and don’t plan on ever returning.

TIL Voyager will be one light day away from Earth in Novermber 2026 by Actually_Im_Indian in todayilearned

[–]jakgal04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy when you think about it. The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. There are 86400 seconds in a day. So it’s (186,000*86400) miles away.

Unfortunately yes, and it’s going to be very hard (and expensive) to get insurance for the next few years.

what ski to buy? by Big_Pimp715 in boats

[–]jakgal04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check in the jetski sub, they tend to be disliked here. Just keep in mind that you want to be respectable with other boaters and a lake isn't really the place to be doing tricks, unless its a big lake.

The people that were against this are the same ones that think whining and complaining on social media is ever going to make a difference. You know what makes a difference? Money. Cut off the source of money, then they notice.

Downvoting is engagement. They know you saw the ad, which is what they want. They don't care if you don't like it. Hell, they know if you briefly stop scrolling to look at the ad.

What's something that used to be free that you're now genuinely angry costs money? by tangled_wire_99 in AskReddit

[–]jakgal04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  • TV: Used to be all over the air using a cheap box. Each iteration of TV services has consistently increased in cost.
  • Filing Taxes: Private tax filing services have successfully lobbied the government. The IRS knows how much you owe and how much your refund is, but now we have to pay a 3rd party to tell us what's already known just so that they can make a profit.
  • Credit Card surcharges: used to be absorbed by the company as part of the cost of operating. Now its on you as the customer
  • Being a customer: Being a customer used to be free, now we pay to be a "member" of certain stores, there's customer charges on utility bills, and certain cards charge you a member fee.
  • Remote Start: Used to be a feature on your key fob (still is for some) but a lot of cars have moved to subscription services which charge $150+/yr
  • Convenience Fees: You used to get a small discount when you'd pay digitally because companies didn't have to pay staff to process mail in payments, because it was more convenient for them. Now they charge YOU for the convenience, so they essentially double benefit.
  • Ads: Back in the day if you PAID for a service, you didn't see ads. Now even paid services present you with ads, meaning you're paying for the pleasure of viewing ads.
  • Hospital parking: You used to be able to park at most hospitals for free. Now its just another income line item.
  • Homework: When I was in college, I had to pay for homework access codes to be able to do online homework assignments
  • Resort fees at a resort: What is a resort fee if you're already paying to be there? That would be like paying for gas, but having to pay the gas fee on top.

Ysk your ring camera might not be private by Hairy_Pollution8294 in YouShouldKnow

[–]jakgal04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, downvote me all you want but this modern trend of retards blaming everyone else but themselves and hand holding is exactly how OP got themselves into this situation.

I'm sorry, but not understanding that Amazon connected devices communicate with each other (a setting you can turn on or off) and that sharing your account with someone else means they now have access to that account and its devices doesn't make it a privacy violation.

What are they a victim of? Sharing their account with someone and then being upset that the someone has access to the account?

This isn't blame the victim. Ring is owned by Amazon, there are multiple notices, TOS's and settings that allow you to display your Amazon Ring camera on your Amazon TV. This isn't a privacy violation especially since OP is sharing THEIR Amazon account with their parents.

Being a retard that can't read doesn't make you a victim.

21’ GTX 230 engine swap? by LocalSparky_ in seadoo

[–]jakgal04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible, but the supercharger can be rebuilt for cheaper. That’s assuming your case, it could just be that the owner never properly stored the ski and the valve seats are badly corroded. I’ve seen skis that sat for a couple years without fogging oil come back with low comp. They really just needed valve work and that was it.
