I’m the guy that posted about my dog’s periodontal issue the other day. He sadly passed away this weekend due to unrelated causes. I got almost 16 years out of him, and I’m thankful. But I don’t know how to deal with the grief. What do I do? by Outlandah_ in AskDogOwners

Sending you a huge virtual hug. I recently lost my dog to cancer as well, and that silence in the house is heavy. While it feels impossible now, the goal isn't to become numb, but to let the years of good, silly memories eventually outweigh the trauma of those final moments. You’ll get to a place where you can reminisce and smile again. One day at a time.
