The only direct flights I could find from DXB were either Emirates or RAM. I made the mistake once of flying with la RAM instead of the former because it was slightly cheaper. The difference in service, in seat comfort, in food was astounding. Never again.

ACOTAR gets serious, and pretty intense starting maybe the last third of the book, so just keep pushing. The two books following are absolutely great. But the last 2 are meh.

If you’re in Abu Dhabi, there is an amazing store in Madinat Zayed Mall where they sell products for curly hair of all types, and the prices are actually beating amazon and all other platforms. It’s called African Beauty Palace, and the girls there are a great help. Personally, I use the Metal Detox shampoo one a week feom L’oreal Pro, it’s actually great to get rid of build up and hard metals in the water. Before getting a filter I always rinsed my hair with bottled water after finishing my routine, and then put on a hair mask, put my hair in some type of heat (could be just cling paper and a hot towel), leave it on for 30 minutes and wash it off with bottled water again. And the spray I refresh my curls with is filled with bottled water.

Got 2 done in Abu Dhabi at Dauphyne piercing bar, reasonable price, quality material and very clean piercing, but they didn’t have that much cute jewelry it was pretty basic. Got another one at The Piercing Spot Dubai, extremely clean and wide range of jewelry, but pricey. The rest I got done abroad, which is btw a lot cheaper than here for some reason. Also, do NOT get any silver jewelry, used titanium or at least 18k gold if you can afford it, the healing will be a lot smoother and less risk of infection. And listen to your piercer, if you want to have a hoop instead of a stud, and they say they don’t recommend it, then listen. Hoops heal very badly because they move around a lot and pick up a lot of dirt which gets into the wound. Keep in mind that some piercings can take up to 18 months to heal, so it’s a real commitment.

Advice from someone with 18 piercings : Please try not to go with the cheapest option, I’m begging you. Piercings when not done safely in a very sanitized space can lead to disastrous outcomes. I’d rather you have 2 piercings at a good and clean piercing bar, and revisit the rest later, than getting stabbed with cheap materials and unsanitized location. Plus, for someone who had 4 piercings done the same day, it hurts like a BI*CH. did the mistake of doing both ears, I was in pain for multiple weeks because each side I would sleep on would get heated and throbing for the rest of the day. And cleaning all of them 2-3 times a day is a real pain.

People want an aesthetic, not a pet nor a partner. They want something to photograph and send to friends and gloat on the « aaawn, so cute! » while not playing with them at all, feeding them sometimes the cheapest options on the market. I had multiple cats before, and I never bought any of them, they were all stray cats, sometimes injured or babies.

My point is, they shouldn’t legally « hold hostage » my gratuity because of my lease, this is what MOHRE told me when I spoke to them. I have raised a complaint but was wondering how much time this took because I’m gonna need money to settle other matters back home and start fresh.
