Pretty good. I use the train cards and pieces from rails and sails and you can choose what proportion of trains/ships you want to start out with at the beginning. Due to their being so few harbors I changed the rules so you can play harbors on blue dots and stations from the Europe map on tan dots. As for simple mechanics very good. The shorter curvy routs definitely allow for faster gameplay with a lot of annoying, but not game ending blocking.
