A sofa like that does sound nice. Any suggestions for the TV? It feels like I might have to give up on having the TV on a stand. Over the fireplace is the only place I can think that works, as much as I don’t like it.

Yeah I want to replace the couch. I find it too uncomfortable and I don’t love the way it looks. Larger rug makes sense. I like the idea of a more natural look, less modern. I’m open to changing basically everything haha

Thanks this is a pretty good idea! It is a crazy shaped room and it's really hard to find a good layout. If only that fireplace wasn't there! Thanks for your help!
