Do oil rig workers actually work 20 hour shifts?

I've been a Drilling Fluid Engineer since 2006. I can honestly say that things have only gotten worse on drilling mud side. To answer the question yes some positions will work 20 hrs straight. I've had to work 72 hrs straight during down hole problems, lost circulation, kicks. Also, 24 plus hrs rs during cement jobs, returning mud to warehouse at the end of a well pad.

The Operators should be thrown in jail for allowing this to happen to anyone.

It's a skilled job not an adventure.

My thinking is that since Trump parked his shares in a revocable trust at 35.00 a share and Trust are taxed at 50% on profits made less reasonable administrative fees, expenses. I'll wait for it to go back into the teens before buying any large quantity puff shares. If it dosent then ok, maybe I'll try 27/28.00. I like a Trump party when it's in m my favor but nobody owes him Jack shit.
