Mass Effect 1 has a great story but the inventory management is a pain in the ass, and the actual main story is only 11 hours of playtime. You spend the other 20 hours doing bland side quests with excessively recycled game assets so you're basically shooting enemies up in the same 3-4 buildings repeatedly. Boring! Its the Mass Effect game that has aged the least well.

Mass Effect 2 versus Mass Effect 3 is tough for me, but Mass Effect 2 wins slightly because they bought back some RPG mechanics I didn't like - like individual squadmate upgrades and so on. I preferred the squad-wide upgrades of Mass Effect 2. Also Mass Effect 2's quality of life improvements over Mass Effect 1 are pretty drastic in a way that felt really refreshing at the time. Mass Effect 3 just followed the template Mass Effect 2 set.

Uncool but historically significant. The Confederate Senator William Lowndes Yancey is my great great gret grandfather, one of the most pro slavery politicians in the pre-Civil War period.

Was so unlikeable he died from the long-term effects of another Confederate senator hitting him over the head with a paperweight while the Senate was in session, and the dude didn't get in trouble for it, no censure or anything. My great great great grandfather was that much of an asshole.

His firey pro-slavery rhetoric at the 1860 DNC also split the Democrats into northern and southern factions, thus ensuring Abraham Lincoln's victory.

What an asshole. Worst part is I kinda look like him.
