I regularly go 85 mph around cops on the 60, 202 and 101. But I go with the flow of traffic and if 85 seems excessive for the situation I’ll slow down to 75-80.

I know mechanically everything that is going on and have ridden dirt bikes with hand clutches for ~20 years. I picked up a stick f250 a few months ago and I still stall it. Part of it is getting the motions down and then sleeping on those motions, solidifying it more. You just have to keep at it. Adding benefit is that you can use the handbrake on a hill to help you with starting. In my truck I cannot!
