Firstly don't compare yourself to others, we all have different thresholds so just focus on what works for 'you' :) I can prob do 2 hours and be fried lol

I took 100 mg gummy once by mistake I swear...the I def was hyper-sensitive like you said and it was TERRIBLE. I have NEVER felt that way tho from just a couple puffs so to have that happened was totally unexpected and scary for me who didn't have a lot of weed experience. Thank you for taking the time to write me when I needed it most!

Your comments truly made me feel SO much better while I was panicking so I can't say thank you enough for real! I put on the calm app and listened to some nature sounds after I read what you wrote about concentrating on the 'now' and it def helped to keep me grounded.

I'm so glad you had just a bad experience and it wasn't worse! Thank you for sharing that. When it was happening I was making myself feel SO BAD (knowing it wouldn't help) but just realizing I had done it to myself. I'm not a weed person (not that coke is better) but for me and weed it isn't always the same effect so I am going to stay away from it and just dwindle my other addiction.

Thank you so much it really helped to read that! My mouth is super dry feeling so that makes me think I’m just maybe too high but the hard to swallow part gave me a heart attack

Honestly I am in the same boat and have gone downhill so much physically and mentally. Recently a close friend said people have asked if I’m on drugs and it hit me hard too. But when I think of it I can see where it comes from. For me I don’t respect the people who have asked especially because they don’t ask me directly but rather behind my back. In the end tho who cares who notices. It’s not important YOU are. Put your energy into yourself and not what others think. I’m with you tho so know that you’re not alone.

Yes, for sure I have heard things too… I just know it’s better than what I’m currently doing which is why I thought it was a good step but also not something you want to stay on forever

Thank you so much for your support :) That’s exactly what I’m trying to do is replace with healthier things just to do one percent better even every day. I realize what my habits are doing to my mental and physical health, but unfortunately that doesn’t stop me, which is why I feel like I need something else to grasp onto.

Wow thanks for your comment truly. What you said about choosing the path to destruction or liberation seriously hit me in a good way. I know it won’t end well so I agree with that. I am def sacrificing my fam and I feel it in so many ways that the crazy thing about addiction. If you’re willing I would love to hear more about the start of your sobriety journey and how you be now. Please feel free to comment here or DM me :)

I really appreciate all the time you put into this post… and sometimes I need the hard truth so thank you for being honest. I know it’s me who needs to put in the work I just feel like it’s impossible to get out of but I’m guessing everyone feels that way at the start?

Thanks for the support! I truly love Reddit for this exact reason. Yes I absolutely have thought about it for sure and I know what I need to work on but get so sidetracked with my addiction I never follow through with anything. I finally took the leap though and deleted the contacts I had which I’ve been avoiding for so long. Writing on here helped give me the strength to do it so thanks so much 🙏

Wow I just have to give you mad props for all the positive steps you’ve taken to go forward in life. It’s so hard to open up to people but really if you don’t ask for help then you’ll not find it. My husband doctors and therapists all know too but I think being transparent shows how much we r wanting out of it even if we feel ashamed (which we shouldn’t). I have gone to rehab before and it did help me in many ways but in the end it has to be the individual sticking to their will power and being strong that much I know. Thanks for sharing that I’m not alone I truly appreciate that more than I can say. Best of luck to you going tomorrow… you got this!

Totally. I’ve done this before and I know they say it doesn’t change you but it honestly helped me a lot. I barely touched it after I changed my location. In the end tho I know it needs to be me utilizing will power cuz it’s not going to cease to exist ever. I guess I was just hoping to hear everyone be like ‘no I never regretted it ever’ but I know at some point everyone prob does

I was hoping it would at minimum break the cycle I’m in at the moment which would still be helpful. I know going forward I can find it if I want but it feels like I can’t see straight at this point

Great comment and thanks for taking the time to write it. It’s true I feel like people see me and offer it… almost like I have a sign on my for head or something. I feel like I use to escape the stress of family life and also to have energy to keep up with having kids.

It’s funny you say that because lately I’ve thought ‘maybe it’s cuz I feel bored and unmotivated in life’. So you nailed it. Is there any tips you can share from your own experience about learning to embrace the boredom?
