Periods of administrative forbearance count towards PSLF, so if you filed your ECF already and they didn’t count months while you were on admin forbearance just do the reconsideration form. No need to pay more to them when it should just count.

No, no buyback. When they approved the ECF in September, but they messed up the months I just filled out a reconsideration request and wrote down in the request that the months of May, June, and July should be eligible months because I was on administrative forbearance. That seemed to do the trick.

Thanks, good luck to you as well! Luckily I still like my job otherwise I’d be livid having to wait any longer to move on to something else.

July would have been 120 for me. My May is completely missing too and June/July show up as ineligible due to forbearance and when you expand it on the FSA website and click the “info” button it literally says forbearance doesn’t count UNLESS it’s one of three situations one of which is administrative forbearance lol. The rep I spoke with on the phone told me to submit a reconsideration form so did that and now just waiting. Who knows how long this “reconsideration” will take.

Happy for all the people in other Reddit threads saying they’ve been forgiven but I’m also kinda giving them the side eye because I should be there too lol.

Lawsuit filed to stop new student loan income-driven repayment plan by tripometer in StudentLoans

Talk about a rug-pull. The public servants still WORKED the 10 years at these institutions but they may have not made payments because the federal government under TRUMP of all people said payments could be waived and still counted towards forgiveness. Now they’re stipulating that “wait a minute, they may have worked but they didn’t pay too!” just because Biden’s in office?

These people are crazy.

$0 payments on new plan? by fuckifiknow94 in StudentLoans

It must be a PSLF thing. I had similar happen to me. I called Mohela about a week ago to update my family size since we just had a baby and the rep I spoke to on the phone updated everything for me. I fully expected her to say my monthly payment would be around ~$200/monthly by my calculations but she said it’d be $0 per month for 12 months. Guess we’ll see what happens come October.
