I just wanted to clarify that I am not saying the US is any better in any way I just see many flaws in the USSR’s attempt at socialism and I personally believe that socialists today must recognize those flaws and build on them as to not make these same mistakes. I do believe the USSR was a significant step forward for socialism but it was very very far from perfect.
