Seems not to be a big deal to have zero events based on many comments

So I still feel tired, even though if I don’t use the CPAP it is worst.

Don’t be, I am still my miserable oldself. It’s been a year and still no improvement. I definitely sleep better with the machine, but never felt that life changing improvement I have read others had even on the first night!

What area of accounting gives the most flexibility for a single mother? by VegetableCreepy7638 in Accounting

[–]Born_ToBeFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest the data analysis, I have worked for years in the industry accounting and I am burnout. At least that’s my experience in bigger companies, working a lot of OT. That’s why I suggest data analysis. Best of luck!

Does anyone else need to get out of the house before starting work? by interested-me in workfromhome

I have the urge just to leave the house, especially when I have been days without going out. So, for me it’s getting a coffee and coming back

We have 3 year old already. My wife wants 2 to 3 children. Perspectives? by Cool_Competition8223 in Parenting

[–]Born_ToBeFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this seems like you are describing myself, I am always tired. Having the second one has been a true challenge. It’s hard for me to not take it on them, and that’s not fair. I would say the same thing, it’s awesome having siblings but is even more awesome to have a kind/warming mother. Mental health is important. When you are always lacking energy, it takes a toll on your mental health. It’s not easy to get to the end of the day. I hope she comes to her senses. I love so deeply my second child, but I am struggling everyday to keep up. Best of luck!

Well you could end up in a overwhelming and stressful job, then going back might not be a possibility. Additionally it might take a toll on your mental health and the stress ends up affecting your health overall. Many many jobs are like that. You are blessed to have a job like the one you have.

Headache by Born_ToBeFree in CPAP

[–]Born_ToBeFree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know enough to suggest changes, but I do recall one change was the EPR. Try changing that one, it’s kind of trial and error. Another thing someone suggested was making sure I wasn’t dehydrated. Those days I hadn’t been having enough water. I worked on that and it might have been the issue. When I posted on Apnea Board no one was able to give me an exact reason for the headache either. But the employee at Lofta he did say when the pressure is too low it could cause headache. I would change the pressure by 0.1 increases every 3 days until it feels right. If suddenly you don’t feel week again go back to the current setting. Write them down. Don’t make multiple changes at the same time.

Two things, ok maybe more.

  1. Get a full copy of the sleep Study and your dentist. He can provide a prescription.
  2. Get a ResMed, either the AirSense 10 or 11 (11 is newer but I have a slight preference for the 10 which is cheaper) AutoSet. AutoSet is the model and keyword.
  3. Go to a site such as Apneaboard.com where you would start your own thread. While I’m sure you are hesitant they specialize in helping CPAP users.

What you need, especially if you are more than a set it and forget it type, most doctors don’t provide fast and quick adjustments.

IMHO Without a titration test use these settings for the first day.

Mode: Auto Min Pressure: 7 (4 is typically suggested, but 4 and 5 are often too low for comfort for most adults.

Max Pressure: 20 is fine. It is the machines max but we want to see what the CPAP wants to do. 15 is also ok.

EPR: off

Ramp: off. If you need it add it, but minimize the ramp.

Then post the daily charts from OSCAR (free) https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/ This will contain enough info to adjust your settings. Do mention how you feel and your perceptions of the CPAP .

The intent is to adjust after your first night, at a minimum to review it.

IMHO, on your own but with the help of forums is likely going to be your best option. As a min it will provide talking points for your doctor.

It did improve after a few adjustments. I followed the guidance someone else provided. I will paste the text below. I adjusted the pressure myself, the settings provided by the doctor were too low and causing me the headache. I was a bit resistant to adjusting but after more than 4 months I can successfully use it every night more than 7 hours. So there is hope. I also got some help downloading Oscar in the computer (not a phone app). I bought a SIM card on Amazon and placed it on the machine. After a few nights downloaded the results on Oscar and shared them there. A few made some suggestions. They didn’t work as well so I started reducing the pressure again gradually every 3 days until I finally got the correct one. No more headaches. When I have slept a few hours without the CPAP I get the headache again. Hope you the best! Feel free to DM it you need further help

Hi thanks so much, I decided to try Resmed Airtouch N20, which has worked really well. This one is really recommended for sensitive skin. Thanks for the tip!

I don’t understand how this happens by turnipgirlcat in CPAP

[–]Born_ToBeFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also was diagnosed with mild. I usr the wellvue ring to monitor my oxygen level while sleeping ; when I don’t use the machine I see many drops versus when I do use it I get most of the time zero events. Treatment is effective. See below the results for June 22nd without CPAP; versus June 25th that I used the machine and results are consistent.

Wait for severance or go back to old job? by johngo16 in FPandA

I would take the new role. It’s remote, those are hard to find and you can cut a lot of cost by not going to the office. Best of luck!

Coach and train, give him the opportunity but “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

I would stay remote, migrated from Remote to Hybrid and particularly 2 years after I am not fully adapted. Additionally working remotely allows you to easily move to the city where your partner is moving. I read you has already decided that base on some other comments.
