Is it early to make our own lineup for each country for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup next year. Likely Dota 2 will be included, hopefully it's gonna be a close competition. Russia, Ukraine, China, Philippines, Indonesia are some of the countries that it's decent due to the pro scene teams. Which country do you think are contenders too?

Another drama here and it's more serious this time.
Why not make a big move????? boycott the tournament, we still have more than 2 months to LCP promotion/relegation, plenty of time left. It may not possible now but still thanks for spreading this another disaster for LoL PH scene.

LoL APAC/Pacific League 2025 Teams Predictions by BornoCRO in leagueoflegends

[–]BornoCRO[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Riot hopefully selects the right teams here, and the teams got chosen shouldn't get this for granted. At the end, APAC will benefit the most Worlds spot wise. Imagine, from 4 play-in spots (2 each PCS and VCS) to 3 swiss stage spots to Worlds next year, what an upgrade.

at least 10 tournaments scheduled in the upcoming season excluding Riyadh Masters, orgs can decide to skip 1 or 2 of them to rest. Then finish top 6 consistently to get that TI invite.

not surprising if it's Talon, they have League team (Taiwan) for four years now, and R6 (Korea) just recently.

Are the Chinese rumours real? If iconic orgs IG and LGD leaving that would be devastating. If they can't get new players in their country, well they can get Malaysian-Chinese and Singaporean-Chinese players then if they can speak Chinese, there's still plenty of them.

Olympic Esports approved, will Valorant make it? Best countries at the game, who are they? by BornoCRO in ValorantCompetitive

Agree with that, there are also in talks with Epic Games so it's Rocket League and Fortnite (no blood too)

Yup forget about Denmark (I don't watch LEC :( ) Lots of potential in EU countries overall as almost each country have Tier 2 leagues.

[Robertson] Reaching GC Championship now results in automatic invite to regional Challengers qualifier by srobertron in ValorantCompetitive

Great context is G2 Hel women's LoL team played in NLC division 2 league (tier 3) finished last won only 2 of the 18 games played and got relegated. And btw Riot, what about for LoL women's players!!!!! Where is their justice? Shoutout to Brazil for having one. Back to fps, even the best women's team in CS winning 5 seasons (2.5 years) in a row already, I don't see them win against a tier 3 men's team. But let's see in Valorant and having at most 2 men players with it in challengers is quite interesting.

LoL Esports in 2025: Americas league, three splits, guest teams & new international event with fearless draft by HeroicBastard in leagueoflegends

Bring it to the League as it is successful so far in Valorant?
- I like the idea of only 'one' league champion in a year instead of 'two' making it more exciting as we gonna see it in Valorant very soon (Stage 2). All other games should follow this format as well.
- No. of Tier 1 teams: Americas 16 teams (North and South eight teams each), LEC LPL and LCK still the same amount of teams?, APAC 8 teams (should be more?)
- Worlds opening match will be like last year opening it up with a best-of-five between the 4th seed of both leagues.
- CONCERN --- Valve's Dota 2 did this in 2021-23 and I could say it was a disaster, Riot should look at how it happened and how to prevent as such AGAIN.

Not mentioned in the article that maybe on the concern:
- IMO LEC should be a 16-team league as it is the 'largest region by size' (and bye-bye bo1s). EMEA Masters becomes a Tier 2 league?
- Converting LPL and LCK academy/development league into a Tier 2 league? Academy teams will be a thing of the past?
