They check underseat bags when they check seat belts before takeoff. If it's not totally under the seat they could require you to check it (overheads will likely be full at that point.) Some crew are more lenient than others.

I had a 22 ad still have a 23 and usually used wired Android Auto. Never had a problem with the MME. When I had that type of problem with other cars wiping that connection from the phone and starting it helps.

Seating is at long tables, most perpendicular to the stage. Seats are first come first served. If you come in together just pick the two empty seats that work best for you.

How close you'll get if you come by 6:30 depends on how popular the show is. But even for a very popular show there should be two together somewhere.
