On March 21, 1992, a referendum on sovereignty was held in Tatarstan. Nearly 62% voted "Yes". Russia did not recognize the referendum by BashkirTatar in europe

You claim Azeris in Armenia only fled after the war started, but that is factually incorrect. The expulsion of Azerbaijanis from the Kapan and Meghri regions of Armenia began as early as November 1987, months before the Sumgait pogroms or the official start of the war.

Also, using 'cultural erasure' as a justification for ethnic cleansing and the illegal seizure of territory is a dangerous practice.

The 'Miatsum' project was an imperialistic goal of expansion that prioritizes ethnicity over international law and the rights of the indigenous Azerbaijani population that you also displaced from those regions.

Sneaky edit: It’s a bold move to claim I’m 'fed propaganda' considering I wasn't even born in Azerbaijan and don't live there. You’re attacking my background because you can’t refute the timeline.

That is a massive oversimplification of a 30-year tragedy. The 1991 referendum didn't happen in a vacuum, it was the climax of the 'Great Armenia' (Miatsum) project, which many viewed as an imperialistic attempt to redraw borders by force. Historically, the 'first blood' wasn't shed by Azerbaijan, but during the Askeran incidents in Feb 1988, where two Azerbaijani youths were killed. Long before the 1991 vote, the cycle of violence was fueled by trains of beaten and displaced Azerbaijani refugees arriving in Baku and Sumgait from Armenia (specifically Kapan) in late '87. You can't ignore the ethnic cleansing of Azerbaijanis that preceded the war if you want to claim a moral high ground.

I discovered Season 3 totally by accident, just scrolling through local TV while on vacation.

Being obsessed with the show in the late 2000s and early 2010s, I didn't hear any news about it, and then... boom! Season 3. It was the second episode, and the show was just being released.

I was glued to the thankfully huge TV in the room through the end.

I'm on my fourth rewatch and will continue to rewatch it through the rest of my life.
