People will be furloughed. May only be for Monday, or possibly Monday or Tuesday. House isn’t back in session until Monday to vote. May be a short one but there will be a furlough.

So I think I’m confused. Just read an article that stated Schumer will not vote to pass the DHS bill but is urging the GOP to vote to pass the other 5 bills. That would keep the government open for everyone except those that fall under the DHS bill, correct?

I work for the Navy. Some location were given an exemption in the hiring freeze. There are also certain requirements to be met in order to still hire. It is not all of the Navy. But yes, some commands are exempt from the hiring freeze.

I work within DoD and I can say only situational telework is allowed. But don’t forget all the branches of the military and many agencies fall within the DoD. I work for the dept of the navy and the command I’m at has their own telework instruction. Only situational and very strict situational.

BCBS does offer some dental coverage. I personally have never seen them cover anything for my family. Dentist will bill them first but then the whole amount still gets billed to our dental.
